Breedlove
Description
The Breedlove Pursuit Exotic S Concert CE myrtlewood guitar combines the versatility of an acoustic-electric soft-cutaway concert body with myrtlewood’s otherworldly meld of rosewood bass, mahogany warmth and maple shimmer, now in a sustainable EcoTonewood package. Its concert body shape is well-balanced, compact and comfortable to play, generating an articulate tonal range that is suited to fingerpicking, vocal accompaniment and a full strum. The African mahogany neck has a soft C-shaped profile, whose slimmer design and satin finish enable comfortable play for any hand size. The bolt-on neck and single-action truss rod provide easy adjustment for both the play action and neck angle. The Pursuit Exotic S Concert CE also features EcoTonewood back and sides—a process of integrating three layers of sustainably harvested tonewoods to produce an environmentally friendly instrument with vibrant sound. Additional appointments include Fishman Presys I electronics, custom European spruce X bracing, TUSQ saddle and nut, copper closed-gear tuners and an ovangkol bridge and fingerboard.

I was a bit disappointed that the one I received wasn't nearly as figured as the example on the page. The tuners felt cheap, and had a bit more 'play' in them than some cheaper guitars. After swapping tuners and strings it does tune/play/sound/look/feel really good.

First off the guitar is just stunning out of the box, beautiful colors, the red stands out. Plays superbly, stays in tune, neck is not a thick, easy to play and the sound quality will just blow you away. Very high quality in sound, playability, construction, materials and finish.

What's the difference between a soft C neck shape vs. Slim C Taper

    Open Reply - Gear-Support
I’m sorry, I don’t know. I've never heard of a neck shape identified as soft. Every maker has their own terminology. The slim C is like a Fender.
