Description

The Breedlove Pursuit Exotic Concert Chocolate Box CE Mahogany-Mahogany acoustic-electric guitar has a versatile play style ideal for strumming and rhythm to fingerstyle play. The Chocolate Box name comes from the inspiration of the guitar's aesthetic: a high-end rich mahogany brown chocolate box with Copper foil accents. Similar to a gift box of chocolate, this guitar is a delight to discover and enjoy. The Concert body shape is constructed with a mahogany top, back and sides for a warm, balanced and rich sounding guitar with pronounced midrange tone. The 1-11/16" radiused neck and low action make it fun and easy to play for any skill level. It comes standard with L.R. Baggs EAS electronics, which are highly reliable and sound fantastic. With the addition of an ebony fretboard, this cutaway concert body allows for easy access to the entire fretboard. This is an ideal guitar for everyone from the touring musician to the beginner, and everyone in-between.

About the Concert Body Shape
The concert is Breedlove's most popular body shape, favored by players because it is well-balanced, compact, comfortable to play and offers all the qualities of a great sounding guitar. It generates a wonderfully articulate range of tone with an ample low end that is never boomy, but always felt. The concert works well when played fingerstyle, as vocal accompaniment, or at a full strum.

Top Wood
Genuine mahogany, swietenia macrophyllia, can be found from Mexico to southern Amazonia in Brazil. Mahogany is a medium-lightweight wood, ranging in color from light brown to dark. It offers a balanced, resonant tone with notable sustain – a thick bottom end, rich midrange and controlled, warm top-end finish out the sound. The coloration is a reddish brown.

    This particular guitar looks nothing at all like the photo, it seriously looks like a plastic toy. I've purchased at least 40 guitars in my life, Over the past several years I've had Guitar Center ship at least 5.. This Breedlove came in a box and inside this box was not your normal second box but bubble wrap.. The guitar strings were literally sagging with black grime on them.. Held it up to the light to see the finish and there were scratches all over the thing.. The whole presentation leads me to believe that this was a return due to its hideous look and delivery method.

    I am mainly a fingerstyle player and this guitar is great for it. The only problem I had was a wire can out of place but it was an easy fix. Great guitar

    Is the fretboard bound and are the frets seated well? I've been told a lot of these overseas BL's have high set frets.
