Sustainably sourced all-solid Oregon myrtlewood and torrefied top
The solid myrtlewood used to construct instruments in the Breedlove Organics Artista Series is never sourced from clear cuts. The highly varied color patterns of the Oregon myrtlewod is accentuated by the thin UV Natural Shadow Burst finish. The FSC Certified European spruce top results in a more mature sound and tone. Additionally, torrefied tops are less susceptible to movement with humidification changes.Hard rock maple neck and soft cutaway design for easy fret access
Breedlove engineered their soft cutaway design to offer the smoothest, most comfortable access to the highest register. The soft cutaway design allows access to all 20 frets without diminishing the projection and balanced tone of the Breedlove Artista Concert. The unique design of Breedlove's soft cutaway balances the higher energy treble notes with the lower energy bass tones. Additionally, Breedlove chose a hard rock maple neck for the Organic Collection Artista Series. A denser wood than mahogany, the hard rock maple neck further boosts the high-energy sound of this Artista Concert model.Breedlove Natural Sound electronics
The Breedlove Artista Concert acoustic-electric cutaway model is equipped with Breedlove's Natural Sound electronics. Natural Sound electronics feature soundhole-mounted volume and tone controls, plus easy battery replacement.Thin UV finish and Breedlove's flagship Concert body
The Breedlove Artista Concert CE features a significantly thinner UV-finished top. The thin UV-finished top reduces weight and also contributes to a more complex sound with sustained overtones. Breedlove's flagship Concert body is responsive, dynamic and malleable across many playing styles.Other special features of the Breedlove Artista Concert acoustic-electric include forward X bracing, brass inlays, gold frets, gold tuners and walnut body binding. The fretboard and bridge are also made from sustainably sourced African ebony.

Aesthetics 100% ....buuuut

Admittedly, I was attracted to this guitar for its aesthetics and therefore have not complaints in that department. In changing the strings for the first time the B string bridge hole was not adequately drill out so it took considerable effort to extract the ball end of the string in the process I accidentally scratched my newly purchased guitar (well no return possible now). Had it set up by professional he pointed out that there was a beyond normal neck bow that prevented him from achieving optimal string action so the action on this one is a bit high ...I have a Martin Dreadnaught for my reference that I've had for years and it is higher than my Martin. Also, the frets were terribly oxidized so had to pay for some fretwork it was like night and day they were so bad. Positive stuff the guitar does sound good unplugged (after replacing the strings it came with) and it seems to hold tune fairly well. In my opinion this guitar should have been 200 less than it was actually selling for.
Beautiful looking and sounding guitar

Torrified spruce top with myrtlewood back and sides. The finish is very thin with a beautiful yellow burst. The top resonates nicely. Would highly recommend, especially for the price I took one star away because the action was poor. Had a low E buzz. Had to have the saddle raised. Sounds great now
Would not Recommend it.

It is very pretty and that's what got me. But, it plays very tight...have to fight it for good tone. Had I realized it was constructed in China, I would have never touched it. For me...I'll go back to my Seagull, Yamaha, or Fender acoustic (each of which I have or do own). I may buy this for about $300 as a learner guitar to give kids or one to take camping. Maybe after I change the strings a few times and beat it to death it'll start to break in.
Oh Wow. What can I say. It is a beauty.
