The Breedlove Discovery S Concerto acoustic guitar of European spruce and African mahogany is designed with the new player in mind, featuring earth-conscious, richly resonant EcoTonewood technology, and a shape that rewards heavy strumming with a bold, lush sound. European spruce is known for its light weight and stiffness, providing a sound that’s full in overtones, and ripe with nuance and tone color. Its Concerto body is designed to elicit more volume than a classic dreadnought, with complex tonal resonance in a comfortable shape. The African mahogany neck has a soft C-shaped profile, whose slimmer design and satin finish enable smooth play for any hand size. The bolt-on neck and single-action truss rod provide easy adjustment for both the play action and neck angle. The Discovery S Concerto guitar also features EcoTonewood back and sides—a process of integrating three layers of sustainably harvested tonewoods to produce an environmentally friendly instrument with vibrant sound. Additional appointments include a narrow nut width, pinless delta bridge for easy string changing, a natural satin finish, ovangkol fingerboard and bridge and chrome closed-gear tuners.
