It's a classic, and an amazing tool for live use. My only complaint is that there aren't programmable memory slots to save your settings like on the DD-20 and other pedals. Still, this hung has a unique sound that can't be replicated, it's great.

Wanted 1 for years. Got 1 used at GCSF. I run my Nord Electro, TX81z, Terta4s and iPad synths thru a mixer and then the RE-20. Adds a touch of chorus & the echo & reverb are sweet. Plus it has this swoosh mode which is great to use with organ smeers and a fast Leslie.

Fantastic piece of equipment. I do not have a real old Space Echo to compare at this moment, but I am 100% happy with the unit. Easy to use but very flexible in terms of what you can configure out of it. Absolutely robust, will last forever. Good sounding, low or no noise at all. Do not have the hassle of working with tapes, by the way... ;) This can give you the Dazed and Confused type of mood in minutes. highly recomended!! Valter MEDINA

First things first, its important to understand that the RE-20 Space Echo is digital recreation of the original analogue tape-based echo machine that attempts to stay as true to the original as possible in format (notwithstanding the cool updates like the tap switch). With this in mind, you won't find some of features you might expect from other digital delays in this price range, such as the ability to save presets, models of other delay types, etc. However, what you will find is a very impressive and deep recreation of a tape delay echo + spring reverb. Far from being a one trick pony, the RE-20 is a tweekers dream with only the controls you actually need laid out in a logical and easily understandable fashion. The experience is highly organic and interactive allowing you to shape the echos to your liking with simple EQ, tempo, volume, intensity, and so on. And if you are already accustomed to working with analogue delays you will feel right at home with the RE-20, and honestly you will forget relatively quickly that you are working with a digital pedal and not an analogue creation. Not only does it sound beautiful and warm (I have used on both guitar and keys), but it responds to your interaction in a very satisfying and believable way. If you are looking for a delay/echo that is straightforward with always predictable results, the RE-20 may not be the perfect fit for you. However, if your imagination feels limited by a lot of the stale and uninspired delays out there, you will find the Space Echo to be a play ground for experimentation and expression, able to take you into chaos and wrapped goodness should you have the inclination. Because this is a Boss Pedal, you know its made to use and last. You would be hard pressed to find a more solid, rugged housing for a pedal of this nature. Easily the coolest pedal I own and the most fun to use.

I've used the original Space Echo units back in the day, and they were great when they worked, but being mechanical devices, they needed routine maintainence in order to keep sounding the same. An original in good condition now commands a hefty price, and you need to stay on top of it constantly. Now BOSS has captured the essance of the original very well in this pedal...to me it's sounds EXACTLY like the original, minus the above mentioned issues. And comes with some added features as well. If you liked the original, but hated the problems, and/or don't have that kinds $$$ for one in good shape, then buy this pedal...you'll LOVE it!!!

This pedal is a must have for guitar players that want to take their music to another level. Works perfectly with extremely powerfull distortions (MT-2 is the one I use) to play metal, death-core. Works beautifuly to play Prog-Rock. It's DELAY sounds very nice on every amp, with every guitar i've tested it with. AMAZING reverb. very easy to equalize. Although it takes a few hours to get used to it. You can get so many different sounds with this great pedal! This pedal is so perfect to play solos and/or riffs, specialy in the genre I play, punk-rock, alternative... 5 stars!!! It's kind of expensive, but every penny is worth it, why didn't I buy this before?

Can this be used with a Crumar Mojo Suitcase Limited edition? If so what other accessories would I need to purchase with the pedal?

Sure it can be used. I'm sorry but I have no idea what connections are available on the Crumar
