Clear Room Filling Sound from a Small Soundbar
The setup was easy with the Bose Music App. You need to be on the same Wifi Network on your mobile as where you are trying to setup the soundbar and the app auto detects the soundbar. Also it automatically updates the firmware to ensure that the soundbar has the latest firmware. You can control the Bass, Treble, Center Channel and Height Channel based on your preference. If the soundbar is mounted on the wall, the Wall EQ setting will compensate for it. Also you can stream music available in the app itself for testing. Also the audio quality is much better if you connect HDMI instead of Optical Cable. Chromecast is built in this soundbar hence you can stream audio from apps like Amazon Music etc from your phone or by directly speaking to the speaker with Alexa keyword. Google Assistant support is via your phone or other assistant devices and you can enable the same under Bose Music App -> Soundbar 600 -> Settings. Also Alexa Assistant is in built in the Soundbar. Pros: 1) Amazing sound in all directions because of the addition of upfiring speakers 2) Crystal Clear sound at high volumes without any distortion even if you set every control at 100% 3) Bass is high for the size of this soundbar and enough for TV watching experience 4) Dolby Atmos Support and other standard surround sounds codecs 5) Integrated Alexa Assistant support and Google Chromecast support 6) You can see the audio codec used from the Bose Music app when you click on what is currently playing 7) You can use the Bose Music App to control it completely and don't really need the physical remote. 8) Small LED bar showing the status during setup or when you use remote buttons. Rest of the time the LED light is off giving a dark room experience for watching TV. Cons: 1) Not good for home theater like experience (with high bass and strong surround) without the addition of Bass Module and Surround Speakers which is an additional big investment. 2) Also there is no option to connect with Bass Module other than the Bose 500 and 700 Bass Module (like non-Bose Subwoofer or leveraging your existing subwoofer) 3) The Bose Music App doesn't have shortcut sound setting (like Dance, Rock, Movie etc) or Adapt IQ which automatically sets up the soundbar to sound the best for your type of room. 4) There is no way to know whether the system is on or off. This is not a top of the line soundbar and neither did I expect it to be hence it has exceeded my expectations because of the great sound quality with enough loudness/bass and no distortion enhancing the TV watching experience.

Great Sound! Apps Not Dependable!
I bought this Soundbar 600 a couple of weeks ago and I'm very disappointed with the way the Apps & the Bluetooth set up works. The sound quality is excellent but…First there is virtually No Soundbar Manual for setup. There is a 5-10 minute silent delay from the time I turn on the TV on until the Soundbar connects to my Bluetooth & turns on the sound & connects to my TV. Also NOT in Manual, the fact that if you walk out of the room to the kitchen, the Soundbar was set to turn off my TV as the Default, even if my iPhone is left by the soundbar. The Soundbar should not control the TV! The TV should control whether the soundbar turns off! I had to do research online on how to turn Off their AUTO Energy saver! The whole Bluetooth system is so poorly designed. The speaker gets so loud when originally turned on & connected to my TV. The Apps & Manual are very disorganized & are poorly designed that you have to go to Google to answer all your set up issues. Having the Bluetooth app on my iphone controls this soundbar, if my iPhone is not available then the Bluetooth does not connect at all??? The remote control that comes with the soundbar only works during setup and then the remote rarely works??? You get a call, the remote does not Mute the TV sound from the soundbar. The Bluetooth setup & the apps do not work seamlessly with my TV. I don't like the fact that the remote is basically useless! The real remote for the sound is the Bose app on my iPhone. My other Bose products work well their remotes. My sound wave radio came with manuals used to show you full setup & answer all my tech questions. This Soundbar setup has no Manuals and this Bluetooth app keeps going in and out. The Apps are not dependable! With ALL these kinks getting these apps to work seamlessly is not easy! For these reasons I may return this Soundbar! Too bad, as I do like the sound quality.

I am not satisfied at all with the soundbar 600, and resetting or setting it up is quite challenging; there is no proper or straightforward method to configure it.

Some thought into the difference between volume when played thru TV vrs thru a phone needs explaining. As well as how long it may take to connect to the tv, while it decides whether or not to connect
Great sound, connectivity fails all the time
