Hmm a little Disappointed In Bose. The APP doesn't work

II just got The S1Pro + today. Seems there is a bug in the Bose App with Apple Iphone. IOS version16. It wont connect to speaker. You can Bluetooth to the S1 just fine. But you cant use the APP. It wont connect and from the comments online this has been going on for 6 month. Bose gets top dollar for the S1. It should work the way it is designed to... I have the Older Pro it works just fine with the App..

This is the second one I bought after a very positive experience with the first one. The unit was used for cultural dance festival. The music has a wide dynamic range + vocals. The sound was clear, crisp and the bass even without a stand alone subwoofer was tight but not overpowering. What was also appreciated by the AV team, was that it does not weigh too much, has a low profile, so it is noticed easily. Those in attendance were extremely impressed and pleased with the music reproduction. The mixer feeding the speakers was Allen &Heath 18QT.

I replaced a JBL EON 208 system with this unit and plan on purchasing another one. Incredible design and robust build quality. The sound and clarity are great.

I use this Bose speaker in my man cave. It works for a Bluetooth speaker, I also have it hooked up to my tv for better sound and also use it as an amp for my guitars. It also is a pa speaker although I haven't used it with a microphone yet. I love it!

There's nothing bad I can say about this product. I've purchased many bows speakers before, and this has to be one of the best standalone speakers. A few my friends have the same speaker and it's because of them why I purchased this speaker because I heard theirs and I loved it. I highly recommend the Bose speaker.

have a Bose S1 PRO multi-Position PA System. I use a mixer to plug in 2 Microphones and my Guitar.

Can you tell me the difference between the Bose S1ProP S1 Pro+ Portable PA, versus the Bose S1 Pro?

I'm looking to see if the S1ProP S1 Pro eliminates having to use a mixer and if it I can plug in a mic & guitar and what's the price for it. It appears it would be an upgrade but not sure. Any info you can send me is appreciated.

Yes, the Bose S1 Pro+ (S1ProP) is definitely an upgrade from the original Bose S1 Pro, especially for solo and small-duo performers like yourself who want a simpler, more streamlined setup without the need for an external mixer. Here's a breakdown of the key differences and whether it can replace your current mixer setup: Bose S1 Pro (Original) Inputs: 2 combo XLR-1/4" inputs (with basic EQ and reverb). 1 Aux 3.5mm stereo input. Bluetooth streaming input. No built-in wireless. No onboard effects except basic reverb. No display or deeper tone-shaping. Battery-powered option (up to 11 hours). Simple and lightweight. Bose S1 Pro+ (S1ProP) — the new model: Inputs: Same 2 combo XLR-1/4" inputs with improved preamps. 1 Aux 1/4" TRS input (not 3.5mm anymore). Bluetooth for audio streaming. Built-in 3-channel mixer with more control. Independent EQ (bass/treble), reverb on each channel. Onboard OLED screen for visual control. ToneMatch presets for vocals and guitar – sounds more “produced” without a mixer. Wireless mic & instrument support (Bose Wireless TX optional accessories). Improved battery life (up to 11 hours). Lighter and more compact than original. The S1 Pro+ can eliminate the need for a mixer for basic setups like: Vocal mic on Channel 1. . Guitar on Channel 2. Aux music source (or another instrument) on Channel 3. Your Setup — Can the S1 Pro+ Handle It? You said: 2 microphones. 1 guitar. That’s 3 sound sources, and the S1 Pro+ has only 2 mic/instrument combo inputs. So... If you need all 3 inputs at once, you'd still need a small mixer unless: You use a dual mic into one input via a small submixer or mic combiner. You consider adding a second S1 Pro+ (expensive but stereo and scalable). You switch one mic to a wireless TX mic transmitter (which frees up an input). If you’re regularly running 2 mics + 1 guitar, you might still need some form of a mixer, unless you're open to creative routing or expanding your gear.

As a gig performer in bars and breweries, do I need a monitor or will sound reach behind the speaker, and if so, can it run through the speaker or will I need a mixer?

That depends on what you need to hear. I would say yes, you do. They put out nothing in the rear.

1 x 6" LF High Excursion woofer. I wouldn't recommend it. Your low "B" is 35 Hz. This bottoms out at 70 Hz. .
