Bose is one of the most recognized names in the audio industry, and they've always had a reputation for doing things differently. In particular, they've never bought into the idea that bigger equals better when it comes to speaker drivers. Instead, they try to push the envelope and come up with more creative ways to deliver room-filling sound. Nothing is a better example of that than the Bose L1 Compact PA system. At first glance, it doesn't even look like a speaker at all... but one listen is all it takes to hear for yourself that not only is the L1 very much a speaker - it turns out it's a pretty darned good one, not to mention surprisingly versatile. To get a sense for that versatility, just take a look at the L1 Compact system and consider how much it manages to pack into such a small form. It's a PA speaker. It's a stage monitor. It's a mixer. It's an amplifier. It's even a subwoofer. Everything is built-in, which makes this a fantastic PA system for artists on the go: carry it into the venue, set it up in mere seconds, and you're ready to play, present or spin. The whole system weighs in at only 29 pounds, making it quite possibly the lightest and most portable PA you'll ever use. Like its bigger brothers, the L1 Model I and II, the Bose L1 Compact system has a special arrangement of loudspeakers in its tower to make sure every corner of the room is covered. The L1 Compact sounds just as good from the side as it does from directly in front. And since its accepts input from microphones and instruments as well as DJ mixers, MP3 players, laptops and more, there's no limit on the sounds you can use it to push into those corners. All things considered, the Bose L1 Compact system is a musician's best friend for those small, intimate venues where setting up a large PA system would be overkill. It delivers surprisingly big sound for its size and, more importantly, it's so easy to transport that you can take it virtually anywhere. Say goodbye to lugging a separate amplifier, mixer and bass cabinet - the L1 Compact system keeps everything together, all but eliminating setup time so you're ready to go in an instant.
