Drawing from the same sonic DNA as Yamaha's flagship Genos workstation, the PSR-SX920 offers an expansive library of authentic voices and styles paired with a bi-amped speaker system that creates a rich, immersive stereo field. Its 7" touchscreen interface and customizable panel buttons provide intuitive control, while the onboard joystick adds expressive pitch manipulation. With expanded memory capacity and advanced arranging tools like the Chord Looper, the PSR-SX920 is more than just an arranger keyboard—it's a complete music production and performance system tailored to modern creators. Whether you're leading a band, composing for clients or building arrangements at home, the PSR-SX920 brings the flexibility, sound quality and control you need to turn musical ideas into polished, professional results.

Super Articulation 2 Voices for Expressive Sound

The PSR-SX920 comes loaded with a world-class collection of authentic instrument voices and accompaniment styles. Super Articulation 2 voices go beyond basic samples, capturing the subtleties of real instruments—like legato transitions, breath noises and fret slides—at your fingertips. With over 1,300 instrument sounds and more than 500 accompaniment styles, you have access to a full virtual band that follows your chord changes and rhythmic feel with remarkable realism. Whether you're arranging jazz, pop, world music or cinematic scores, the PSR-SX920 provides a deep palette of sounds that adapt naturally to your performance. Style variations, multi-pads and the One Touch Setting system give you instant access to dynamic transitions and layered textures, making it easy to build professional-sounding arrangements in real time.

Joystick and Assignable Knobs for Real-Time Control

Designed with live performance in mind, the PSR-SX920 offers intuitive real-time control over your music. A joystick controller lets you manipulate pitch and modulation simultaneously, making it easy to add expressive inflections to your performance. Two assignable knobs and Live Control functionality allow you to customize parameters on the fly, from adjusting EQ to controlling effect depth. The bright, full-color 7" touchscreen makes navigating menus and editing sounds fast and fluid. With the Chord Looper, you can record chord progressions and loop them while you solo or try new variations, freeing your hands and expanding your creative options. The interface is streamlined and tactile, helping you stay focused on making music rather than managing menus.

Expanded Memory and Flexible Arrangement Tools

The PSR-SX920 gives you the freedom to personalize your setup with expanded internal memory, offering twice the storage of previous models for your custom voices, accompaniment styles and user data. Yamaha's Expansion Manager software makes it easy to import and manage new content, whether you're adding world instruments, modern synths or EDM loops. A 128-note drum kit brings improved rhythmic detail to your arrangements, and features like Style Section Reset help you stay rhythmically locked in—especially useful when working with complex time signatures. Whether you're composing original material or performing live with ever-changing arrangements, the PSR-SX920's creative flexibility ensures your music always feels fresh and fully realized.

Expansive Soundfield Speakers for an Immersive Listening Experience

With Yamaha's Expansive Soundfield Speakers, the PSR-SX920 delivers immersive stereo imaging and powerful audio projection. Its bi-amped speaker design ensures balanced clarity across all frequency ranges, making every voice and backing track shine. Vocalists can plug in a microphone and access built-in vocal harmony and synth vocoder effects, which automatically generate background harmonies based on your chord input. These tools help you deliver polished, layered vocal performances without the need for external gear. Combining rich audio fidelity with powerful features that support both instrumental and vocal performance, the PSR-SX920 is a self-contained stage and studio solution.

My first Keyboard in the 1990s was a PSR SQ16. This is a nice portable that I added to my studio gear. The vocal harmonizer is unmatched by any other board I have in my studio. I can do perfect harmonies on the go without connecting to a PC. Its the perfect stand alone travel board. I can load audio tracks from other gear into it and head out without needing to take monitors or amps to pug into.

The voices are excellent the 920, including the piano voices once you tweak them to your personal preference. The ability to layer three voices in the right is invaluable. The ability to tweak almost every aspect of each voice allow you to customize the voices to your personal preference. It's nice to also have the ability to adjust the volume of each accompaniment voice in the styles.... sometimes I want simpler cleaner versions of a style than the full style provides. You can do it very easily with this keyboard. You can also do any kind of harmonization LIVE! with the vocal harmonizer... choose the type of harmony you want from duet to trio to many other choices... and the keyboard processes your voice in real time to create the harmony you choose... based on what you're doing with your left hand. This is superb for a single performer who wants to create a lot more interest in their vocal performances. And it's around 26 pounds... and easy carry. The key bed is not weighted. While that is not perfectly ideal for piano performances, you can still work with it. And of course this action is perfect for organs, synth voices, etc. Fantastic keyboard and my favorite Yamaha so far. I also have a CK88 and two P-125s which I use if I'm only doing a strictly piano background kind of job. But I love the PSRSX920! I'm including the wordss #SWEEPSTAKES in hopes that I win the $1,000 sweepstake.... which I will probably use to buy additional Yamaha keyboards. But sweepstake winner of not, it's a pleasure to write a review abouit a keyboard this amazing.

I just bought my first arranger keyboard, and I'm absolutely amazed. As a synth enthusiast with several flagship models, I wasn't expecting much from an arranger, but the PSR-SX920 completely surprised me. The immediacy and inspiration it brings to making music are incredible, and the S.Articulation sounds are simply stunning. I can't get such realistic tones this easily from any of my high-end synths. Plus, the huge selection of accompaniment styles available online, both from Yamaha and the user community, means I can instantly play most songs with impressive authenticity. I'm genuinely delighted with this instrument.

i bought this arranger because of its realistic sounds... so far it sounds great. i also own a korg pa 700 and when i compare the two, the korg pa is easier to navigate the program. however the yamaha psr 920 has more selection of sound banks that really sound realistic and krisp. i would by both again. the only con on yamaha is its navigation for saving and tweeking new styles and sounds. life is better when everything is more simplified.

The keyboard SX920 sounds much better than the old one that I have S970. The touch screen makes it so much easier to navigate through the functions. The assignable live control knob allows to set and control the volume of the style and the voice separately when playing live.
