Yamaha F335 Acoustic Guitar | Demo With Jared Scharff

Description

Players looking for a dependable acoustic with real musical character will find a lot to love in the Yamaha F335, offered here as a Guitar Center Exclusive. Instead of relying on formula, it brings together thoughtful craftsmanship and an approachable price—an appealing combination for anyone wanting a guitar that can grow with them. Its dreadnought body produces a confident, room-filling voice with firm low end and clear top-end detail, making it just as capable in living-room sessions as it is in larger spaces. A laminated spruce top adds strength and balance, paired with meranti back and sides for warm resonance that stays consistent over time. The rosewood fingerboard keeps fretting smooth and comfortable, supporting both early learning and more seasoned playing. Whether you’re picking up your first instrument or adding a reliable everyday acoustic to your lineup, the F335 delivers musical value that stands out.

Laminated Spruce Top for Balanced Projection

The laminated spruce top of this acoustic guitar is crafted to deliver both tonal clarity and structural resilience. Spruce is a renowned tonewood known for its ability to produce crisp highs and resonant lows. The laminated construction enhances durability, making this model resistant to environmental changes, such as humidity fluctuations. The top's lightweight yet rigid design ensures optimal resonance, allowing the instrument to project a full, balanced sound. Whether strumming chords or picking melodies, this feature provides a consistent and pleasing tonal foundation for any playing style.

Meranti Back and Sides Add Warmth and Depth

The meranti back and sides contribute to the warm, mellow tone of this guitar, complementing the brightness of its spruce top. Meranti is a durable and reliable tonewood that provides a steady projection and a rounded low end. The combination of meranti and spruce creates a balanced voice, making this model suitable for group jam sessions or solo performances. With sustain and clarity in every note, this tonewood pairing ensures that the instrument delivers a rich sound profile, perfect for players seeking warmth and depth in their acoustic tone.

Comfortable Neck Design for Effortless Playability

This guitar features a slim nato neck and rosewood fingerboard, offering a smooth and comfortable playing experience. Nato, a lightweight and durable hardwood, ensures stability and resonance, while the rosewood fingerboard adds warmth to the overall tone. The slim neck profile makes it easier for players to transition between chords and move along the fretboard with precision. With its ergonomic design and responsive feel, this instrument caters to guitarists of all levels, delivering comfort and playability that encourage longer practice sessions and inspired performances.

Durable Build With Classic Appointments

The Yamaha F335 is constructed to withstand years of use while maintaining its tonal integrity. Its laminated spruce top and meranti body provide durability, while the rosewood bridge efficiently transfers vibrations for consistent sustain. Details such as the tortoiseshell pickguard, soundhole rosette and gloss finish lend a traditional aesthetic that complements its dreadnought body shape. These appointments not only enhance the instrument's visual appeal but also reflect Yamaha's commitment to craftsmanship. The result is a guitar that balances durability with a timeless acoustic design.

An Affordable Option for Beginners and Experienced Players

The Yamaha F335 acoustic guitar offers a blend of quality construction, warm tone and comfortable playability at an accessible price. Beginners will appreciate its ease of use, while experienced musicians will value its reliability and resonance. Nice for the price

For the price this is a really nice guitar. Yamaha is consistent with the quality of affordable guitars. There is really nothing extraordinary about this guitar. It's very basic and affordable. Like almost all acoustics, they come with a high nearly unplayable action. It needs a set-up. If you don't know how, have a good guitar tech do it for about $30. A good investment and you'll like the guitar much better. This guitar is all laminate, but sounds really good. Nice bright highs with plenty of bottom. Your choice of strings has a lot to do with the tone. This is a great entry level or student guitar with the recommended set-up. The neck on mne is straight and didn't need any truss rod adjustment. Came with about a .012" relief. The bridge underside had to be filed as I prefer the lowest action possible without any fret buzz. I put these on the same level as Fenders or Ibanez in this price range. I do prefer the nck on Yamahas a bit better than Fenders tho. Just my own personnel preference. Ive seen one reviewer compare it to a Taylor saying the Yamaha wasnt nearly as good. Well duh, it's 1/8th the price of a Taylor. Should I compare this to a Martin D-45? The guitar has a very bright clear sound close to those with a solid spruce top. If you like a mellower softer tone, get a mahogany top and body guitar. Or if you're like me and like all kinds of different tone guitars, get a bunch of them. Your wife shouldn't mind! All models of guitars have different voices. I like this one. Affordable but sounds good. For me it's just a good guitar to have in the living room to jam on, practice or let your friends mess around on. Not an expensive prized possession that you'll freak out if someone gets a booger on it. Cool guitar, good price, fun to play.

poor sound

This guitar is all fake laminated wood and the sound/build quality is very poor. I bought one and have always regretted it. I bought a Taylor 114 and the quality is great. I also bought a Yamaha F740, and it is very nice, and I love the smooth action.

I absolutely love this guitar. I've never had tuning problems with it (except the expected problems that come with new strings) and it provides a good sound. I've had this guitar for a year now and it still sounds just as good as the first day it came in. I've used it for a couple small venues and it's worked pretty well. I highly recommend this guitar to people who have a little experience under their belt.

Why is the black model of the F335 Yamaha $30.00-$40.00 cheaper than the other F335s?

    Open Reply - anonymous
More than likely the black isn't selling as well so they are trying to clear some of them out, but I can't say for sure.
