Song analysis technology generates chord charts for your favorite songs, allowing you to learn and play along. With the power of Smart Pianist, you can focus on your craft rather than navigating complex menus.

Authentic Pedals and Resonance for Expressiveness

Three adjustable pedals—soft, sostenuto and sustain—provide precise control over sustain and expressiveness. Virtual Resonance Modeling simulates the rich harmonic resonance of an acoustic grand piano, allowing notes to resonate naturally with one another for a full, complex tone. With half-damper pedal control, you can achieve infinite variations of sustain for subtlety and nuance.

    As part of my bucket list I wanted to learn to play the piano, there were several factors as I am a mature adult. I didn't want to start in a keyboard and then move to the piano. After some research and visiting a digital piano specialist in Glasgow I decided on the YDP 165. Weighted keys, sound, size, pedals, build quality and a clean lines with minimal buttons giving it that classic piano design all fitted my expectations. The build is simple enough with minimal tools required. This will last me for years to come and also help getting other younger family members introduced to the piano. As I first piano I would recommend it to anyone looking to start their journey. When you look at the name Yamaha you know you will be getting a quality instrument from a trusted name in piano's

    I am overwhelmed with the sound and all the amazing features of this digital piano! I've been without a piano for almost 2 years and I'm so glad that I chose the Yamaha YDP-165. It works great with headphones, records, and I can use my laptop via USB to help me learn and improve!

    The piano was excellent all around. Wonderful playability and weight of keys, really a joy to play. I'm a beginner myself so can't attest to many functions but everything works great so far and assembly was fairly quick. #SWEEPSTAKES

    I bought the Yamaha YDP-165 and I'm really satisfied with it. The sound is very natural and close to an acoustic piano. The keys feel realistic and smooth, making it perfect for daily practice. The build quality is high, and it has a stylish appearance. Overall, it's definitely worth the price, especially for students and intermediate players.
