Washburn

Description

What better way to get started learning how to play the mandolin than with the Washburn M1K-A Americana Series A-Style Mandolin Pack? Not only do you get an affordable, great-sounding M1 mandolin, but it also comes with a gig bag to haul it around in so you can practice wherever you want, a pitch pipe to always be in tune, a strap to make learning even easier, picks to help you get a feel for playing with them, and most importantly, an instruction guide to get you started on the right foot (or note).

M1 Mandolin
Part of Washburn's popular Americana Series, the M1 is an A-Style mandolin with classic charm thanks to a combination of gloss sunburst finish and chrome hardware. Crafted from solid carved European spruce with quartersawn Sitka spruce bracing paired with a maple back, sides and neck, the American M1 A-Style mandolin provides just the right chime and warmth, perfect for down-home country and folk music. Rounding out its features, it has an ABS chrome die-cast tuner and D'Addario J73 light gauge strings.

I play the guitar and just decided to pick up the mandolin one day. It's a "why not" kind of purchase. I was very pleased with the quality of this instrument for the price point. It needs a little setup but it's not too hard, I just watched a video and bam. Great product. #sweepstakes

Does this Mandolin have Nitrocellulose Lacquer? I bought a Snark Tuner and it says very clearly not to use it on any instrument that has that finish. I cannot find what type of finish is applied. Thank you.
