Versatile electric that makes me want to pick up and play!

I have been looking for an electric that I could bond with for a while. I have been playing acoustic for more than 2 years and have dabbled with electric off and on. The necks in the low to mid priced electrics just have no meat on them. The sterlings have great feeling necks like the music mans they emulate. Chords are much easier to play than most I have tried. This Valentine has a great neck feel and a slab body and string thru body like a tele. The 4 and 2 headstock make for easy tuning and the roasted maple neck add to the tuning stability. I live at the bridge single coil pickup and the boost on the fly add a lot to the sound when needed. The humbucker is not the best or worst that I have played. It does the job. The trans buttermilk finish is nice. The overall feel of this guitar makes me want to pick it up and play. Pretty nice gig bag as well.
Cant afford the real one!!!

fromNot bad enough to fire someone
good points 1)Beautiful guitar 2)The roasted/toasted neck not only looks good you don't have to worry about weather as much. 3)This guitar sustains for ever 4)Locking tuners and with the neck stock design all the strings go straight down the neck without having string trees. 5)The guitar neck feels awesome 6)The boost 7)I am sure I missed something 8)The boost. The not so good 1) Change the nut it is cheap. I use graphite from a pencil on all my guitar nuts but this nut is so bad that some of the strings sunk in to the nut so much that I could not tune some strings because it they were stuck in the nut. 2)The pickups are not as good as other guitars in the $500 price range. They are ok for a lot of different kinds of music but not great at anything. Having said that if you have a nice amp with pedals and know a lot about tone it may be great. I am running mine through a Boss Katana 50 watt amp. I need to hook it up to a computer and start using the boss pedals to see what kind of tones I can get. My judgement of the pickups are clean only so I might be wrong about the pickup. But for sure change the nut because it sucks.
