Description
The Squier Paranormal Offset Telecaster SJ limited-edition is a mashup guitar combining iconic Fender design and modern features for versatile tone and playability. Its offset Jazzmaster-inspired body is comfortable and balanced, while the Tele bridge pickup delivers the crisp tone you know and love. The Jazzmaster neck pickup adds warmth and richness for a wide range of sounds. With coil splitting and phase switching, you can shape your tone further. The slim neck and medium frets make soloing and chording easy and fun.
Iconic Styling With Modern Playability
The Offset Telecaster SJ has undeniable vintage vibe but plays like a modern guitar. The contoured Jazzmaster-style body is comfortable against your body, while the Tele headstock and control plate pay homage to Fender tradition. The slim neck and 9.5" radius fingerboard feel fast and natural. Medium-jumbo frets make bending strings easy. This blend of classic looks and contemporary playability gives you an instrument you'll bond with for life.
Versatile Tonal Options
The Fender-designed alnico single-coil pickups in a Tele bridge and Jazzmaster neck configuration give you the best of both worlds. The bridge pickup provides the Tele twang and bite that cuts through the mix. The neck pickup delivers round, full Jazzmaster tone that's perfect for chords and solos. With the push-pull controls, you can split the coils for single-coil clarity or run the pickups in parallel for hum-canceling operation. Flip the phase switch to create quacky, out-of-phase tones in position two. So much tonal variety inspires your creativity.
High-Performance Components
Squier didn't cut any corners when building the Paranormal Offset Telecaster SJ. It features a solid alder body, maple neck and pau ferro fingerboard for resonant tone. The string-through-body bridge provides rock-solid intonation and sustain. Vintage-style tuners keep your strings in tune through intense playing. All hardware is chrome for an authentically retro look. Despite its budget-friendly price, this guitar is made to exacting standards for great sound, feel and durability.

Killer for the money

Anything wrong with this guitar can be fixed with a set up. Another review mentioned the neck being too low… I disagree, but you could add a shim, so even that is fixable. Looks beautiful, sounds fantastic. Was planning on replacing the pickups but it would only be about personal preference, there's nothing wrong with these. Was shocked how much I like the neck. I've got two Fender offsets and the only significant difference is that this one is lighter (different wood, poplar). Not a bad thing. The extra switching options are icing on the cake.
Great sounding pickups!

I gave 5 stars to not ruin the so far 5.0 rating. But there are some issues. The neck set is too low so string will never be low and fast. Set up sucked. That said the pick ups sound great! The middle position with the tone knob up creates a NASTY tone like I have never heard b4!
Great Tone Combination

This guitar ticks all the boxes for me. The fit and finish on the guitar is great. Finish is well done. The wiring on it is great. Love all of the tone options. Only downside is the pickups volume was not very balanced, but I was able to raise the height on the bridge pickup. All good
