Description

This limited-edition Squier Classic Vibe '60s Telecaster Thinline is a nod to the early semi-hollow Tele models from the 1960s, creating incredible tone courtesy of Fender-designed alnico single-coil pickups. Player-friendly features include a slim, comfortable "C"-shaped neck profile with an easy-playing 9.5"-radius fingerboard and narrow-tall frets, as well as a vintage-style Telecaster bridge with a string-through-body design and individual steel saddles for precise adjustment. This throwback Squier model also features 1960s-inspired headstock markings, rich-looking nickel-plated hardware and a slick vintage-tint gloss neck finish for an old-school vibe.

Nice guitar. Bought it right off the rack. Setup is good, may need to lower a bit. My friends have complimented that they also loved the guitar. Some fret sprout but I can easily fix that. As someone else said, "Just buy it"!

  • I highly recommend this well made guitar.

I have been suffering from arthritis in my back and hands for years. I needed a guitar that is light weight, with a thin neckline. This instrument fills the bill. It is set up right out of the box. The frets are smooth, with no overhang. There is absolutely no "buzz". This is easier to play than my Stratocaster. I play classic rock. This guitar easily handles a wide range of the required sounds. I can now play for a couple of hours without fatigue and pain in my back and fingers. It has vintage tuners which may make restringing easier. It plays fast and easy. You do not have to be arthritic to appreciate this fine guitar.

  • Just buy it already. :)

The good: I love this guitar and I can't put it down. The neck pickup is glassy and clear. The bridge barks and snarls. I did spend some time fiddling with pickup heights to get the tone where I wanted it but I think that's to be expected. The neck feels great and plays well. The frets are level with no sprout. It weighs a little more than six pounds and it's quite resonant unplugged. The vintage toner in the neck along with the sonic blue body is just perfect. It is so pretty (though I did swap in a tortoise pickguard). The slightly less good: The tuning machines are pretty meh, lots of play in the knobs on a couple of them. That said, tuning seems pretty stable anyway. The nut needs a little work, there's some chirping on a couple strings even though I'm using 9s. Overall value is outstanding. I put a little money into compensated brass saddles, I'll probably upgrade the tuners at some point soon, and because of the nut I won't be relying on my own skills for a good setup. So maybe it's a buck fifty extra between pro setup, saddles, and tuners, though none of that is necessary to get good sounds and enjoy the heck out of this guitar. #sweepstakes

Beautiful guitar, really light weight like 6.6 pounds or so, but there was some fret "sprout" My guitar tech said that none, repeat; NONE of the frets were glued in! You could lift any fret with a fingernail. Guitar Center was awesome with the return!

  • I would buy it again
