Closer to Metallic Ice in Color.
This is a very nice guitar for the price. It is nicely balanced and not too heavy. Unplugged the body has great resonance. The neck feels great and the action is quite good, plenty of bounce response from the strings off the fret board. My only gripe is that the color of the body is closer to Metallic Ice than the Lake Placid Blue photographed. The darker blue sets off the depth of the mint pick guard which really attracted me to select this color. Though disappointed it is growing on me. I will install some Alnico II blues pickups for upgrade. The controls are solid, closer to G&L Tribute models. Surprised that the stock pickups are reverse wound for hum canceling in the middle position. Very Nice.

It's just ok
TL;DR - Guitar came with a low 12th fret and had to do a full-on fret leveling process (never did it before). So, just know that the quality control on such an inexpensive guitar can vary. If I really knew what to look for when the guitar arrived, and what having a high/low fret really entailed, I would have sent this thing back. I got the Squier Bullet Telecaster in Lake Placid Blue when it went on sale for Memorial Day. I was very excited to get my first electric guitar at such a good price. I bought this guitar because it had some really great reviews and videos talking about it being the best "bang for your buck" inexpensive guitar. I had very high hopes for it. When it arrived I opened it up and it looked great and had no obvious blemishes or issues. However, when I tried playing it, there was a pronounced fret buzz at the 12th fret on the D, G, and B strings. I adjusted the truss rod and the buzz continued. I looked closely, and I saw that the 13th fret was high, so I decided to try and level that fret down with some sand paper and a file. The buzz continued. I took a utility knife blade and used it as a fret rocker and found that the 12 fret was actually low, like really low. So now I had to do a full-on fret leveling. I never did anything like that before. So, now I end up buying a sanding block with a 9.5" radius and hoping for the best. I went through various sandpaper grits (800, 1500), and finally got it to about 99% level across the fret board. Next I had to use some files, thankfully I had them already, and had to re-crown the frets as best as I could. I also took this opportunity to address the sharp fret edges as well. Long story short, I got the buzz to 'mostly' go away with fret leveling, and I also raised the saddles a bit on the D and G strings, and now it is about 99% buzz-free. Also, the fret ends are pretty smooth now as well. I didn't expect to become an amateur guitar tech with my first ever electric guitar. Thanks YT videos!

I played it through my rig and got some tones that would make "The Colonel" proud.
A little disappointed.

It is okay for a beginner but the action and string distance for playing are not what i expected. Does not stay in tune very long when you bend strings. I should have known better. It's only a cheaper fender tele squire.
