We use a Shure system for Church Services and Meetings and like it very much. But for 3 Sundays in a row we had heavy interference. Tested system thoroughly each week and came to the conclusion that a combination of hearing aids and cellular phone were the problem. Reset the Receivers and Transmitters to new frequencies and asked everyone to leave phones in their car while in Church. Interference problems disappeared. Chuck helped me with analyzing the problem and changing some Mixer settings. Decided to buy a backup transmitter to play it safe. I really appreciated Chuck's patience and expertise. Thanks to him & GC, churches in this area have good audio.

Will this work with my BLX288 receiver?
Yes, a Shure bodypack transmitter for BLX systems in Band J11 will work with your BLX288 receiver — as long as your BLX288 receiver is also in Band J11. In Shure’s wireless systems, the band (like J11) defines the frequency range the system operates in. Both the transmitter and receiver must match the same band (J11) to communicate.submitted4 years ago
