The Randall RD100H 100W amp head is the flagship model in the company's high-gain, metal-geared Diavlo series, and it has the tube overdrive and menacing tone that shredders crave.

It features three footswitchable channels (Clean, Overdrive 1 and Overdrive 2), with shared master volume and 4-band EQ controls, and independent volume and gain knobs on each channel. The included four-button footswitch also features a "Turbo Boost" for when you need to cut through the mix.

The crushing high-gain tube overdrive is handled by a combination of 12AX7 preamp tubes and 6L6 power tubes. Also housed in the ruggedly constructed metal monster are a speaker-emulated XLR output for direct recording or PA mixing, and a Class-A discrete FX loop.

Great Metal/Hard Rock Head

I wanted a purpose built high gain head with good tone and value, didn't care for the largely stocked amps at the store. Spent a lot of research time before ordering this head, but it's hard to make a real decision without first hand interaction. The local GC didn't stock it, so I took a chance and ordered it in. I'm very glad I did. The Bottom line up front is that I find this to be a solid, great sounding head for heavy rock and metal tone. The Head is solidly built, has good aesthetics, and most importantly will happily rip you head off while leaving a smile on your face. I use this through a Krank Rev Cab and play though it with several guitars from a Gibson LP Standard to Modded Ibanez's and ESPs with Active EMGs. This head does a great job of maintaining it's voicing while allowing the character of each axe plugged in to add its flare of inflection. The clean channel does sound good in it's own right, but it's not an head you buy for superb cleans. With more volume and active/hot pickups, the clean will break-up, but if you know how to handle a volume knob you'll be good to go. If you're looking for an affordable solid built head to tear it up on, consider the Diavlo. Even without considering price point, it's fantastic.

Alright Amp Head

I purchased this amp and at first it sounded monstrous. Thing is, I was mainly playing it at home; however, as soon as I took to band practice and cranked it up i noticed that the amp sounded dark. Too dark for my liking. Too Thick. The only solution was to crack up the mids all the way. Not bad sound amp in general but spend a little more and you can get yourself a better amp. Im definitely looking into Egnater Armageddon and swap the tubes on that. Now that thing is bang for your buck!

    I have nothing but good things to say about my Randall Diavlo RD100H. This amp is a MONSTER! I've played on many rigs over a 20 year span, and this is by far my favorite amp I have ever owned. The distortion is killer on both channels, the clean could be slightly better, but remember, this is a HIGH GAIN amplifier. If you want clean tones, you may want to look elsewhere. These amps are notorious for hard rock and metal sounds, and they play them perfectly! I would totally recommend this amp to my friends and family.

    I use a Schecter Damien Elite 8. Playing this through a b-52 at-412. This head is what I was looking for. Being an 8 string guitar player I needed something that doesn't sound muddy. At first I was a little disappointed with the level of gain but then after screwing around with the gain and the channel levels I was able to get more then enough gain. This thing pushes the b-52 to shake the house!! I plan on using my boss gt8 in a 4 cable method to see what else I can do with it.

    Rock solid amplifier that sounds great. The footswitch had a problem with it but after sometime it was replaced and my guitar center associate really helped me getting this corrected. 🤘

    If u play heavy music, really this amp is amazing! For live applications & rehearsal imho cannot be beat! Unfortunately (my opion) it isnt the best for studio use & if u have clean breaks or intro's in your set list u may have a small problem, not that it doesnt have a good clean sound but it does share the EQ with every channel so u either have to find a happy medium between your clean & gains or possibly add pedals (besides your OD). All & all for metal & live apps this head has an amazing tone, especially thru a hlf back mesa. I use a randall xl (vntg 30's) a 1960b & the mesa w/black shadows & although thay all sound great the hlf back gives it the same low end as the marshall & the tonal quality & definition as the XL. A great live rig & after all why use 100wt head in the studio!
