This is a fun little kit I picked up to teach some drum lessons. I have not gigged with the kit but it does seem similar to the Purecussion kits from the 80s. I am using the snare as a Tom and adding a snare drum in its place. I left the kick head on the kit and I am using a foam beater but hav replaced the Tom head with an Evans mesh head. It stores up nicely and is great as a compact kit. Kick drum is a little wobbly on carpet that has a lot of padding.

This thing is great for its footprint - everything just fit nicely in to its bag and off you go. This is perfect if you want a drum set that you can setup in a small space and then pack it up and put it the closet when you're done. Our plan is to use it for our semi-acoustic 3 piece, just to have a nice, easy beat to fill out the sound instead of our cajon. As far as the sound quality goes, it's pretty decent. Obviously the size does impact it tone and resonance, but the tradeoff in its portability and footprint is worth it for us.

Inside it sounds pretty good. Out of the box no bass drum tuning needed. The snare is a little too responsive so a nice tune up and a moon gel work great. This is all with stock heads.
