MD200 double cutaway electric guitar White

MD200 double cutaway electric guitar White

Mitchell

Description

Mitchell's MD200 electric guitar offers you a winning combination of comfort, tone and style. This double cutaway basswood body and maple neck instrument delivers a modern voice courtesy of mini-H and H rail-style ceramic humbucker pickups that provide punchy, articulate tone with reduced feedback.

Versatile Tone for Any Genre

The MD200's mini-H neck pickup and H bridge pickup configuration offers players a spectrum of tones suitable for any music genre. The mini-H pickup in the neck position provides a warm, rounded tone perfect for jazz, blues and classic rock. Switch to the bridge H pickup for a punchy, aggressive tone ideal for hard rock and metal. With a simple flip of the 3-way toggle switch, players can access a range of blended tones in between.

Playability and Comfort

The MD200's double cutaway basswood body and maple neck are contoured for comfort, allowing players to reach the upper frets with ease. A flatter 12" fretboard radius and low action make the MD200 a joy to play. The MD200's lightweight basswood body reduces shoulder strain, even during marathon practice sessions or lengthy gigs.

String-Through Body for Outstanding Sustain

The MD200 features a string-through body design, where strings pass through the body before anchoring to the tune-o-matic bridge. This construction significantly improves sustain and resonance. Players will delight in the MD200's ability to hold notes for ages. An adjustable tune-o-matic bridge also provides precise intonation for perfectly tuned chords and single-note runs up and down the neck.

Stylish and Stage-Ready

Available in six eye-catching finishes including Seaglass, Orange and Island Blue Satin, the MD200 makes a stylish statement on any stage. A sleek black nickel hardware complements each finish for a cohesive look.

If I inspect it and find it is not at good then no.

Found a number on the floor with loose sockets and nobs. They had one in the back, still boxed. It is almost perfect. For the price paid, it us worth it. Looks like it is made in same factories or design is almost identical to Schecter's cheaper C-1 model. So far I am impressed. The finish has a small overspray on the raw wood on the headstock. No big deal. Neck could be smoother. I probably will Scotch Brite it if I keep it. Finish is really thin. The green one on the wall had been damaged and it looked so thin, it peeled off near the volume knobs. GC staff think it will sell that way and would not sell it for less than marked. It won't sell.

High frets, low output neck pickup, not worth it

I really wanted to like this guitar because of the earlier positive reviews, looks and design. I HAVE a Mitchell acoustic/electric that plays well and is finished nicely. When GC put the MD200 on sale for Memorial Day, I went to the store to give it a spin. YIKES! The fret finishing was horrible on three different ones I tried. All had two or three frets that were obviously higher than the rest (just looking at the neck) and the results showed in playing. Massive buzzing and string rattle in spite of the action already being set high. It would take a full fret dress to get this thing playable. Moving on to the electronics, the bridge pickup is decent but the "hot rail" pickup at the neck position is pathetic. Virtually no output on the lower strings and what output there was overall was thin. To be fair, the P/U looked like it was set too low but who knows if it's adjustable vertically. Hard to tell with the tiny phillips head screws. Another one I tried had no output from the full neck pickup period so a wire had either come loose or the p/u was shorted. On to the finish. There were several places on the white model I tried where they get the spray coat on evenly. At the jack, you could see raw wood and same around the neck pickup cavity. Overall, both black and white look good from a few feet away but up close not so much. When I handed the (new from box) white one back to the sales dude and showed him what was wrong with the fretwork, he was incredulous. Showed it to the assistant manager. Both agreed it was one of the worst fresh out of box guitars they'd seen. I think Mitchell is a Guitar Center house brand so I'm surprised at how they could let such poorly finished guitars into their stores. You need to step up the QC guys.

Came in damaged on the back of the body. Most likely through UPS delivery services. Wasn't set up correctly. (Be sure to use guitar tuner when buying). Other than those issues. The guitar plays nice, ok pick-ups. Worth the price its advertised. (Good for beginners too).

For the cheap price it's fairly good, but with a cheap guitar comes cheap parts, so I wasn't super shocked that when I pugged it into my amp, it made a super loud buzzing sound and it didn't change with turning the sound knob OR playing on the strings, so it took a lot of looking into and I found a ground problem, not with the wiring.. but the jack itself was broken. Luckily this is a cheap fix but for people without any knowledge of using a multimeter or soldering/ had access to those things, this would be very frustrating

After buying the 3/4 size mitchell for fun, i found out i really liked it and wished it were full size, so i bought one. This guitar offers alot of tonal options. The controls make easily audible changes to the tone. It was set up well upon delivery. It comes off as a hybrid of an sg style and a superstrat. It is versatile.
