I do some traveling and didnt want to travel with my full size guitar so I figured I'd give this a go. Super easy to travel with, fits nicely into the overhead of a plane, light weight, easy to carry. Overall its decent, look, its not a $1000+ professional guitar and you wont be on Stage with it, but for practice it is fine. Sounds decent and it allows me to travel and keep practicing

Great guitar for the price. Sound is great for how small it is. My only real complaint is the weight distribution of the setup. Very top heavy and you have to wear a strap to play with. Quiet enough for in home practice and can be loud for playing outside or with friends. Get a lot of strange looks on the guitar but always impressed with the sound and action. Going on 2 years with this bad boy, no intentions on selling it. Very easy to travel with and stays in tune fairly well. Highly recommend

We live in a mobile world. The Backpacker is like an iPad for guitarists. In fact, I throw my tablet in the pouch and I'm out for the day. Everyone thinks it's some exotic string instrument -- it does look cool hanging on my wall, it complements my African mask collection. Sound, action is fine. At first it was awkward to play sitting down, but I've found my spot to get leverage, I rest it more inside the thigh than on top. Standing up, it's very sweet - the lightness and form factor make the Backpacker more of an extension of my body than my other guitars. I have to keep my fingernails short or I'll tear the light wood fingerpicking, so I keep a nail clipper in the pouch. It's short up the neck, just a minor third above the octave - on just one piece I play, I had to rewrite one phrase, but otherwise I don't find that a problem, playing blues and folk. The big plus is that it's so easy to take with you. The Backpacker enriches my summer and fall, playing outdoors much more often. It's a mobile world. The coolness factor counts. And I'm more than satisfied with it as an instrument. She's a little sweetheart! 5 Stars!

Purchased a used one first and it was great, but it didn't come with a bag. Swapped it for a new one with no problems from the staff; they bent over backward to make me happy. The guitar itself has wonderful sound...it seems slightly improved over the older used one. The neck is thinner, but the head is bigger in a good way. The new one seems to have a slightly improved sound, better overtones. And the action is better; I would hve modified the old one.

I bought this guitar as an office guitar. I wanted something I could practice at work with. It definitely fills the bill. It has good sound and playability. The action is a little high, but not too much to play effectively. It was a good purchase.
