Description

The Marshall ORI20C Origin 1x10 tube guitar combo amp allows guitarists to explore the full range of tones—from pristine cleans to saturated overdrive. The ORI20C features a single channel with a TILT control to blend two distinct voices. Turn the TILT control to blend in the "normal" voicing for chimey cleans or the "bright" voicing for grittier overdrive. With 20W of power and a 10" speaker, the ORI20C can be cranked for full tube saturation on stage or reduced to 1W for home playing.

TILT Control Provides a Spectrum of Tones

The TILT control is a unique feature that blends two distinct voices in the ORI20C. Turn the TILT control to the "normal" side for classic cleans with rich lows and sparkling highs. Dial in the "bright" side of the TILT control to push the amp into overdrive with a grittier and more aggressive tone. Anything in between provides a range of tones from edge-of-breakup to fully saturated. Guitarists now have full control over their tone palette with just one intuitive control.

Flexible Power Options for Any Venue

With 20W of power, the ORI20C is ideal for gigging and recording. For lower volume needs, the power can be scaled down to 5W or even 1W, perfect for home practice. The 10" speaker provides full tone at any volume. Now guitarists have an amp suited for any situation, from the studio to the stage and everything in between.

Pedal-Friendly Platform for Creativity

The ORI20C takes pedals with ease thanks to its simple single-channel design and mostly neutral EQ. Guitarists can now craft their signature sound by stacking their favorite pedals without the amp compressing or becoming overly dark. Fuzzes, overdrives, delays and more now have a perfect pedal-friendly platform.

Classic Styling With Modern Versatility

While the ORI20C may appear vintage-inspired, its features are modern. In addition to its innovative TILT control and power scaling, the ORI20C has useful additions like a headphone output for silent practice, an effects loop to integrate stompboxes and rack units, and an XLR line out for direct recording or sending a miked amp signal to a mixing board. The ORI20C blends classic tube amp styling with contemporary versatility.

I love the OR20, Marshall got it right this time!

It's about time Marshall got this amp right. They've been dancing around it for 15 years! My only complaint is no reverb. Would it have killed them to add reverb? I thought it should have had a 12" speaker instead of a 10" but still am left to ponder that after having put a 10" celestion greenback in it. Sounds great with or without pedals. Very vintage yet can still rock with a tube screamer or just about any overdrive pedal really. Loud as all get out too. Very compact and fairly light, but sturdy. I love the look of it too. To me it's like a poor mans 1974x combo. I know it's not hand wired, doesn't have tremolo or reverb, is one channel, and has a ten instead of twelve inch speaker but hey, I said Poor Mans! For the price you pay it's a lot of amp and it kicks but in every department. I hope they re-issue it with reverb and I 12" speaker, and master volume. I'd buy it again!!!! Matt M.

Not too exciting

It's not a terrible amp, there just isn't much personality or any unique tone options unless you crank the amp volume all the way which isn't always an option. Takes pedals pretty well I just wish it had a more signature sound instead of the generic volume boosted guitar sound. Overall not something I'd recommend to an experienced player looking for an amp that'll add some flavor to their tone profile.

    Great Plexi type sounds. If you're looking for a JCM800 or heavy distortion sound, this is not your amp. This is much more of a Bluesbreaker style sound on its own, and takes pedals really well with the built-in effects loop. The only downside is that the effects loop defaults to being bypassed when the footswitch is not connected. The boost and loop bypass functions on the footswitch add great functionality, especially if your effect chain is noisy and you're looking to clean up your sound. This amp works best loud, the 1 watt attenuator setting is useless. Play at the middle or loudest attenuator level and you'll get the most amazing edge of breakup sounds you can imagine, especially at this price point. This is the amp I have always sought, but didn't know it until I played through it.

    Excellent Marshall tone. I would give it 5 stars, but it arrived with a bad tube. I was refunded the price of a new tube, so it all worked out.

    Great Plexi cleans, very pedal friendly for classic Marshall overdrive. The Celestion V Type 10 inch sounds as good as most 12 inch speakers.

    If one had the tools and expertise to install a 12" speaker in place of the 10" fitted, is it at all possible the cabinet itself could accommodate the larger speaker?
