Markbass
Description

The Markbass Little Mark Tube 800 bass amp head is a pioneering solution for bassists seeking power, tonal flexibility and portability. This 800W amplifier features Markbass's groundbreaking tube and solid-state preamp design which provides the warmth and richness of a tube preamp as well as the crisp attack of a solid-state preamp. Bassists can blend between the two preamps to find their perfect tone. Two inputs with separate gain controls—one 1/4" jack and one combo XLR/1/4" jack—make it easy to plug in and dial in your ideal level.

Miniature Tube and Solid-State Preamps Create a Spectrum of Sounds

At the heart of the Little Mark Tube 800 are its tube and solid-state preamps. The tube preamp delivers the full, heavy tone that tube enthusiasts crave while the solid-state preamp provides a clean, punchy foundation. Blending between the two unlocks a range of tones from vintage to modern. Bassists can go from a crisp solid-state tone to a warm tube tone and everything in between.

Vintage Loudspeaker Emulator and Variable Preshape Filter Shape Your Tone

The Vintage Loudspeaker Emulator recreates the tone of classic bass cabinets while the Variable Preshape filter provides access to a range of timbres from traditional to contemporary Hi-Fi sounds. With these tone-shaping tools, bassists can craft tones from classic rock to modern electronica and beyond.

Phantom Power and XLR Input for Upright Bass

The Little Mark Tube 800 makes it easy to amplify an upright bass. The combo XLR/1/4" input accepts either a standard 1/4" bass cable or an XLR cable from an upright bass microphone. Engaging the phantom power switch provides 48V of power for condenser microphones. Upright bassists can achieve a full, natural tone when plugging in their bass.

Roadworthy Design With Useful Features

Despite its power and tube preamp, the Little Mark Tube 800 weighs only 15 lb., making it ideal for gigging and studio use. A mute switch, four-band EQ and pre/post EQ switch for the XLR output provide useful tone shaping and control. Rack ears are available separately for mounting in a rack.
