use this guitar for my everyday practice and to try new scales. Usually without an amp as it sounds really good without it

This guitar is so new on the market, I've only seen one review from multiple websites. I own Guild, Breedlove, and Charvel acoustic guitars, and have been wanting to get a nice nylon string, so I bought this guitar with limited knowledge, and I'm glad I did. I've been playing for almost 50 years, so perhaps this will help you in your decision process. Aesthetics - I think the aesthetics are obvious. Luna obviously knew they would get a second glance from most guitarists. Koa, being an exotic wood, yields rich contrasting grains. Luna putting a gloss finish was brilliant. The colors and grain are richly accentuated to appreciate the sheer beauty of the wood. The beveling is very well done. The neck inlay is an artistic and fluid design. Comfort - If you ever played an acoustic for a few hours, you know the inside of your lower arm gets tender from rubbing on the guitar edge. I've always found the idea of the bevel intriguing, thinking it looks cool, and more importantly it improves comfort. I can readily say, this guitar is very comfortable. It's also fairly light weight, but not too light. All this makes it a very comfortable guitar to play. Playability - I'm very picky about the action on my acoustics. I play a lot of open tuning and use the entire neck, so a low action is key to playability. However, I appreciate playing a nylon string is a very different idea. With clarity and finesse being the objective, this guitar is a pleasure to play. While a nylon action is typically higher than an acoustic, the required pressure applied to the strings is easy to achieve. Scales, riffs, and chords require little effort. I really like the wide neck, giving me more room on the fretboard. Sound - This guitar has a very good sound. The resonant values project nicely. Of course a guitar like this should first be judged unplugged first, and the plug is a plus. Being a nylon it isn't crisp like a bronze wound string, nonetheless, the softer tonal values resonate with a subtle brightness and depth, projecting a quality sound. Value - Considering the appearance, inlay work, and the beveling, it takes to make this guitar, along with the playability it definitely worth the cost. Conclusion - I'm giving this guitar a 5 star rating, based on the overall value as compared to the quality. For the investment, it deserves every star. If you put another brand name on this guitar, you'd immediately expect to pay more. In summary, the value, aesthetics, comfort, and quality of the Luna Vineyard Koa Bevel Nylon Acoustic-electric Guitar, is an excellent pick!
This is a beautiful guitar but the playability is not good.

I purchased this guitar because it looked beautiful, had a beautiful beveled armrest and nylon strings. But I'm very disappointed in the playability. I took it back to the store and had the Luthier work on it and set it up but it is still difficult to play and the sound is poor. I understand that it will not sound as good as my Taylor 312ce Nylon but I really wanted it to be as playable as the Taylor since it had the armrest and is so beautiful. I really wanted to keep it but at this point I'm pretty sure I'll be returning it before the 45 day return policy is up. Very disappointed.
