Love it

I love the double coiled pickups and the thinness of the body. I can hug it real close to my body and it makes for easier playing. The fifth string is something to get used to if you've only been using or learning on a 4-string. I haven't quite figured out how to best use the onboard EQ, but it's nice to have it.

Love this bass, but…

Bought this new at Guitar center. Being new and not knowing what to look for I overlooked that the treble/tone knob did not work. I realized after the 30-day return time that the battery was only lasting 2 weeks with the guitar unplugged. I wish Guitar center would have realized this before putting it on the floor. I have been corresponding with Ibanez, who have been very responsive annd even sent me parts to replace. I eventually gave in and sent the bass back to them under warranty. They gave me a shipping label so all I had to do was buy a box. Really good customer service. Just got it back and it still has the exact same issue. That was disappointing. Waiting to hear back from them again.

I use this to practice and in CCM bands. This is my first five string and it feels almost natural to play. The neck plays very fast, and the pickups and electronics provide a lot of tonal versatility. The bass is very light and good for longer play sessions.

Liked the brand new bass. Had an issue in the store with the balance pot for neck and bridge pick up. The bridge pick up would cut out randomly. Changed battery. Seemed to go away. Got it home. It was still broken. Took it back. Guitar center would not fix it. Had to order a new one. Same problem with the new one. Unbelievable! Did NOT try a 3rd bass. I think I saw the first one up on the wall as used. Hope the next person finds the problem before they buy it.

I love the feel of this bass. I had limited myself to 4 string bass guitars until I picked this up. I have small hands and can surprisingly reach everything on this bass. Tone is great and I will be keeping this one for many years.
