collapse expand iconDescription

The Gibson Les Paul Traditional Pro V AAA Flame Top electric guitar is a modern upgrade to a classic design. Known for its rich sound and beautiful craftsmanship, this guitar features a lightweight mahogany body and a stunning AAA flame maple top. It’s packed with advanced electronics that give players tons of options for shaping their tone. If you want a guitar that looks as good as it sounds, the Les Paul with its gorgeous finish is a show-stopper.

Tradbucker Pickups: Classic Tone, Endless Possibilities

At the center of the Les Paul Traditional Pro V electric guitar are its Tradbucker pickups. These are designed to give you the famous Les Paul tone while adding more flexibility. The bridge pickup is slightly overwound for a strong, punchy sound, while the neck pickup is underwound for smooth, warm tones. Push/pull knobs let you split the pickups into single coils or explore different coil combinations, giving you clear, bright tones or focused mids. Whether you play rock, blues or pop, this Les Paul can handle it all.

Advanced Electronics for Ultimate Control

The controls on the Les Paul Traditional Pro V look simple but are loaded with advanced features. The push/pull volume knobs let you switch between humbucker and single-coil modes. The treble tone control even works as a phase switch in single-coil mode, letting you experiment with different sounds. You can also switch between the inner and outer coils of the bridge pickup for even more options. This Les Paul guitar is perfect for players who love to create their own unique tone.

Built for Comfort and Playability

The Les Paul Traditional Pro V is made with players in mind. The mahogany neck has an asymmetrical shape, making it comfortable for both chords and solos. The rosewood fingerboard has a compound radius and medium-jumbo frets, so bending strings and playing leads feels natural and smooth. The weight-relieved body makes the guitar lighter, so you can play longer without feeling tired. Plus, the locking Grover tuners and Nashville bridge ensure stable tuning and great sustain.

Includes a Durable Hardshell Case

Every Les Paul Traditional Pro V AAA Flame Top electric guitar comes with a premium hardshell case. The case has plush lining and a sturdy neck cradle to protect your guitar during transport. It also has storage space for accessories like picks, cables or straps, so you’ll always have what you need for your next performance.

Perfect mix of Vintage and Modern!

Worth every penny -- weight relief is incredible; nashville ABR bridge brings perfect intonation and buzzless slammed action. The High Performance 4 electronics can, using simple DIP switches, turn this guitar into a modern/vintage sound Traditional LP. Quality is immaculate: perfectly cut nut, neck relief spot on, flawless! Would love to know, as they are hand-wound, how many windings each PU has as the bridge PU screams and the neck PU is warm with excellent note clarification. Electronics: (HP-4 High Performance Electronic System) coil splitting with selection of which coils are in circuit, phase inversion, coil tapping, attack suppression, high pass filters -- all controlled by you setting DIP switches for the four push/pull pots. Tone and volume control is the best I've heard (outside of customs. Also, room for expansion visible in HP 4 chamber. I leave the attack filter off for a gritty and faster attack; like driving a Ferrari! Did I mention the blues, greens, purples in the finish? They shine almost metallic on the flame maple ... gorgeous! Beware this guy repeating his negative reviews dropping the overall score for this axe -- as mine was purchased (risky) from the shelf and its flawless. Gibson QA/QC is back; all of this coming from a Fender enthusiast! Get one now before they are gone as its limited.

Awesome if you can get one that's not defective.

I have purchased three of these in a row. Each one was defective and had to get sent back. The first one showed up with a broken head stock. The second one showed up, Gibson security tape still intact on the box yet the guitar was definitely used. Scratches all over the back of the neck, a large nick on the back above the pick up selector and wear around both strap posts. The third guitar showed up and the nut was cut so badly that both E strings were almost hanging off the edge of the fretboard. All three of these guitars were shipped directly from guitar centers warehouse in Kansas City. The problem is Gibsons quality control is basically nonexistent. I had heard rumors that things are better now that this situation definitely proves they are not. I was able to play the one that showed up scratched up and the Guitar felt fantastic and sounded great. So much so that I was almost tempted to try and buy a 4th one hoping it would show up built correctly or not damaged… But I just couldn't face anymore disappointment with this Guitar. So sad...😞

I'm lucky to own many guitars and many Les Pauls. This is all around best one. Beautiful. Solid. Slim comfortable neck and body. Fat tone and splittable pickups. I'm pretty sure I'll now get a recording deal and become a rock star.

I don't have enough good things to say about this guitar, so I'll make it brief. This is a face melter for sure, the neck design is outstanding and unbelievably comfortable, the playability of this guitar is honestly mind blowing. The pick-up splitting feature is a blast, the amount of tones you're able to create seem endless, throw some pedals into the mix and you'll never stop with the possibilities. My only gripe is it definitely requires a proper set-up right out of the box, get her tweaked into the correct playability for your liking, then let the good times never stop.

This guitar sounds and plays fantastic. The 61 Tradbucker pickups are a little hotter than my vintage voiced LP Traditional's Burstbucker 1 and 2, the feel of the neck is really comfortable, the fret work is fantastic and that asymmetrical compound radius neck is surprisingly subtle. I have played necks where the transition was too jarring but somehow this one just feels right no matter where I am on the neck. The action is super low and silky smooth. The weight relief makes it noticeably lighter but it still has a satisfying heft and feels like a Les Paul should. It sounds fantastic, and all the amazing options on the push pulls and dip switches give you a vast array of tonal options.

Right now I'm just enjoying playing this guitar but I do plan to do some recording with it. It feels great, sounds great, and looks awesome. It's a big step up from my studio version.

Not only is the guitar beautiful, but the asymmetrical neck and weight relief really make it a joy to play. The neck pickup is delightfully dark and woody and the bridge pickup has a bright growl with a pronounced lower mids oresence. It's overwound and a bit hotter than the Burstbucker 2 in my Traditional but it sounds great and the tonal options are not just endless, they are useful. This is a really great guitar that is as functional as it is beautiful.

The factory set up was a little off. Took care of it and lowered the action. Minimal fret buzz (not heard through my amp). Strings were touching the back of the bridge. Raised the tail lowered the bridge.

The Gibson Purple Trad Pro V, also known as the Gibson Les Paul Traditional Pro V in a purple finish, has been offered for a relatively short period, primarily within the last few years, with significant updates and variations appearing in recent Gibson catalogs; it's not a long-standing, classic model like the standard Les Paul Traditional.
