Only a few days was all I needed to verify how good this Mustang bass is. I got this just for practice, and being a former bass player I switched to guitar decades ago. Now I want to play both and I figured this would help in the transition instead of overstretching my finger on the full size bass. However, this great bass easily has the needed quality and tone to play live with. Very pleased.

I found a used (demo model) of the Vintera Bass at a great discount in like new condition. Just love the tone and feel of the bass. My only complaint is that I found it to have some excessive hum coming when not touching the strings. I didn't think it was a bad ground but maybe not enough shielding. I took my multimeter out and determined that the grounding was good. So, I then took the pick guard and control cavity cover off and was shocked to find that there was absolutely no shielding, no foil, no shielding paint but just bare wood and no foil on the pick guard. For a bass that retails for over $1200 I would think that Fender would do a better job of shielding the electronics. Come on Fender, this isn't an Squier. Anyhow, I put foil tape in the cavities and it made a big improvement. I still love the bass. I wanted to give it a five star rating but due to this issue will give it a four.
