Fender Rumble Series Amps

Fender Rumble Series Amps

Description

The Fender Rumble 40 1x10 40W bass combo amp packs a sonic punch in a compact package. This lightweight amp is ideal for practice or performance, featuring 40W of power and a 10" speaker to produce full, resonant bass tones. Adjust your sound with the intuitive 4-band EQ, dialing in the perfect tone and volume for any song. An overdrive circuit adds grit and punch, activated with an optional footswitch for tonal versatility on the fly. Whether at home or on stage, the Fender Rumble 40 provides crystal-clear sound with thunderous low end.

Foot-Switchable Overdrive Circuit

Activate the built-in overdrive circuit to add a dynamic edge to your tone. Toggle between a clean sound and overdriven punch with the optional footswitch, allowing you to bring in distortion during solos or musical transitions. The overdrive is fully adjustable, so you can dial in the precise amount of breakup and saturation to suit your style.

Versatile 4-Band EQ

Shape your tone with the intuitive 4-band EQ, adjusting bass, midrange, treble, and presence. Boost the lows for a full, rounded tone or cut the mids for a scooped metal sound. Increase the treble and presence for extra articulation and string definition. With dedicated controls for four frequency ranges, you can tweak your EQ to perfection.

Lightweight Yet Loud

Weighing in at just 18lb., the Fender Rumble 40 is highly portable without sacrificing power. 40W deliver enough volume and headroom for rehearsals and small venues, conveyed through a custom-designed 10" speaker. A sturdy cabinet construction and durable vinyl covering make this amp ready for the road, able to withstand the demands of frequent transport and performance. Despite its compact size, the Rumble 40 provides big, bold bass tones.

Additional Features

The Fender Rumble 40 includes useful extras for practice and performance. An XLR output allows direct connection to a mixing board, while an aux input jack lets you play along with music from your phone or MP3 player. A headphone jack is perfect for silent practice, muting the internal speaker for quiet rehearsal. Fender gives bassists of all levels a solid amp that can handle anything.

A best buy.

For the money, it is a good purchase. It held its own without going through the board at our venue's open mic. We have a full drum kit on the backline. The tone flexibility is good, with lots of bottom end available via the electronics. I play a P-Bass, but am a low-end guy, not a slap and pop bassist. In our case, we went with as small as possible, and still get decent tone, and I was happy with the available volume. I ran the gain and the master up, but did not max them out. If you play in a loud band, I woud go larger, but if you're on a budget, this amp can handle more than some give it credit for. If also has a lot more bottom end than the 25w 8" v3. It is not a high-end amp, but it has a great price, and after checking a ton of reviews, could not find a frequency of (import) failures. Fender has priced it to be competitive, and it is. I would buy a larger Rumble if I needed a bigger bass amp. The light weight is such a nice change from the usual. I would recommend this amp.

Nice Sounding....lightweight.......but

I went to Guitar Player to audition this amp as I am now a Senior player with a bad back. 18 lbs sounded really good to me. The sound is "not bad"....but the low notes were undefined and not up to my standards. I tried the Rumble 100 and it blew me away. The 100 is only 4 lbs heavier. For a meer $100 more you get a 12 inch Eminence Speaker(which makes a HUGE difference), an effects loop, and of course 60 more watts. The larger cabinet seems to have been engineered just right for that speaker....as it sounds deep and full at the volume I need....which at 1/4 volume drives a 20 piece Big Band. So FYI...before you pull the trigger on the 40, think twice about the 100......

It's a nice amp. Good for just jamming in your bedroom. Plenty loud for that. Fender is one of the few brands that has not let me down with their products. Pretty much anything I get from them I am happy with.

Anyone use a rumble with a keyboard?

    Open Reply - Gear-Support
The Rumble 40 would not make a good keyboard amp. It has no highs. A keyboard requires a full range system
