Description

Fender's U.S.-designed Paramount Series acoustic instruments are finely crafted and specially voiced to bring your artistic vision to life. Each all-solid guitar offers many legacy design elements of classic ’60s models, including checkerboard purfling and rosette, pickguard shape and abalone and mother-of-pearl "Concert Tone" fingerboard inlays. Even with this Art Deco look, Paramount instruments still retain their footing in modern design. Special Fender- and Fishman-designed PM preamp systems are specifically voiced for each body shape in the series, ensuring complete tonal control and variation.

All-Solid Design
With all-solid back, sides and top, the Paramount Series PM-1 acoustics are built to project with the player's personality in mind. Rosewood back and sides coalesce with a grade-A Sitka spruce top for tone that's lifelike, powerful and balanced.

Electronics
Complete with tuner, frequency (bass, middle and treble) and phase controls, this collaboration in preamp design is specially voiced for each Paramount body shape. Not only does this special engineering offer versatile ways to fine-tune your tone, but also imparts an elegant retro look reminiscent of old-school radio knobs.

Inlays
Adding to the "art nouveau" vibe of the Paramount series are its elegant inlays, constructed from a fine combination of mother of pearl and abalone for a truly awe-inspiring look. Designed to the tune of an early 20th-century masterpiece, it's a vintage touch made accessible to the player of today.

So after not playing guitar for 19 years I decided to start playing again. Mainly from my work, watching open mic nights made me miss playing. I kept looking for a mid level guitar and after a month of research i ended up buying this 1, and i live it so much. The sound it produces is so nice and clear and the tone is deep and resonance. The fact its solid wood is such a plus and came with a hardshell. This guitar has made me confident that i can get back to where i was 19 years ago.

  • Absolutely would buy this again! Have had mine for 7 years

Bought this guitar after playing it a local guitar store. Sounded better than pretty much everything they had including some Taylors. Was in the market for a mid grade but excellent sounding acoustic. Sounds better than most 2-3K guitars. Think the 1 Star just got a bad one, never an issue

  • I would not recommend buying this guitar.

I am an old guy that has been playing a long time. I wanted a quality acoustic electric that would not set me back $3,000. I really liked the guitar. However, at owning the guitar just over a month the guitar was developing fret buzz around the 10th fret or so. It got worse. I took it back to Guitar Center thinking it needed a truss rod adjustment. I was told the guitar was developing a bulge in the fret board that would need major repairs. In doing some research it appears the mahogany used in the neck is not of good quality.

  • Amazing guitar that has inspired my novice status

Great sound and feel. All hammers hit , bright but still deep and rich where needed. It has inspired my novice status and I am thrilled to play and hear it..... JW

How is the finish on the body, real high gloss like a cheap guitar or a nice finish like a more expensive guitar?

    Open Reply - Ronald
It's a less expensive finish, but it is a lot better ascetically looking like a more expensive guitar.
