TL;DR: Hands down best electric I've owned or played.***I went into GC for the saturday night special telecaster but had also been consdering upgrading my maple player strat recently. I handled the tele for a moment, it was fine and the blue is gorgeous in person, but it was right next to several american strats that got my attention. I tried the pro II strat briefly. I have a pro II maple tele and I've never been wild about the feel, kind of toy-like. The strat of course was the same. I then checked out the ultra which was fine, but only fine. Then the player II out of curiosity since it is a new series. It didn't grab me. Finally I moved on to this american vintage II 57 and all I really registered while in the store was that the vintage II was the best feeling of all that I picked up, but by a lot. I then spent another minute with the saturday night special, which is where my wallet wanted to be, but my heart remained with the vintage II. So I bought it, got it home and into one of my amps, and it was instantly delightful. I've not had such an enjoyable immediate reaction to a guitar in some time. The soft V neck feels great and though this is my first 7.25 radius, it is perfect for my playing. The pickups are equally impressive. I don't have any reference for Fender vintage but I've had and played a number of Fenders with different pickups, and the vintage II pickups are the best I've ever heard. I've always tried to be blanced in my reviews but I cannot find even one nitpicky thing to say about this guitar. It is exceptional.

Daily playing and occasionally gigging. This is high quality instrument with quality fit and finish. Modern elements like taller frets and a five way switch are a nice feature. The Pure Vintage pickups are lyrical and responsive. The v shaped neck is quite comfortable. Recommended!

Everything about this guitar and the accessories were great except the neck was crooked! Seriously! Expected a lot more from a Corona built AV II 1957 Strat. Musician's Friend was great to deal with though.

Is there a way to review the "blemish" to determine if I find it acceptable?
Why are there 11 blemished? Seems to be a large number.
I do not see the "Made in the USA" or other proof of American made.

Thank you
