I'm most comfortable with Gibson necks and Teles have always been difficult for me to control. Well, I went to try out an Ultra II with an Ebony 10-to-14" compound radius fretboard and instantly bonded with it. I wasn't expecting such a fun experience. Plus the modern tweaks on the Ultra II were just icing on the cake. I love the body contours, neck heel contouring, locking tuners, beefy S-1 switching, angled 3-way toggle, 6 saddle bridge, noiseless pups. This is a Tele unlike the Vintage styles and suits me just fine. This Tele followed me home after a good experience at the local Guitar Center.

  • Great freakin' guitar!

I absolutely loved this guitar after playing the exact same model at Guitar Center - Nashville. The color, Texas Tea, is incredible going from that deep brown to what I can only describe as a shimmering gold when the light hits it just right. Then, there's the limitless tone capabilities made possible by the versatile controls allowing you full customization. Unfortunately, I haven't gotten to play the guitar I purchased. I will have the opportunity to play it soon enough after I give it to my dad for his 65th birthday! Happy Birthday, Dad! If I win that awesome prize in Guitar Center's #Sweepstakes, I'll be giving that to my dad, too!

I am not a guitar player by trade. But, the guitar has come along for the ride for around 45 years now. And THIS guitar is unlike any electric guitar I have ever owned, or played. This guitar vibrates as if it is alive when I play it. It could very well be that I just have not played an instrument like this. But, it is a fully responsive and expressive instrument that will inspire and motivate me to play for years to come.

  • GORGEOUS!!

I have had this guitar for about a week. I've done one recording session with it so far. This guitar is AMAZING. The fit and finish is incredible. And, the playability is THE BEST I've had so far. I couldn't walk away from this one. And, I'm not sorry in the least!

While a guitar being "perfect" is subjective, the objective versaitlity, sound, build quality, playability etc. are 10/10. Oh and the Texas Tea finish is the right amount of subtle, with a little bit of flash. Excellent for the studio, live, and even unplugged.
