Introducing The American Performer | American Performer Series | Fender

Nicole Row Introduces The American Performer Precision Bass | American Performer Series | Fender
Description
Born in Corona, California, the American Performer Precision Bass guitar with rosewood fingerboard delivers the exceptional tone and feel you expect from an authentic Fender—along with new, player-oriented features that make it even more exciting to play.

Playability that’s precise
The Modern C-shaped neck sports a 9.5”-radius rosewood fingerboard that’s comfortable for almost any playing style, along with 22 jumbo frets, allowing you to easily express yourself. ClassicGear tuning machines with tapered shafts offer stable tuning, while the silver ‘70s logo adds a touch of vintage flair.

A bass made to inspire
The alder body on the Performer Precision is contoured to perfection and comes in a choice of traditional colors. The fit and finish is impeccable and makes for an instrument you’ll be inspired to pick and play, day after day.

Being versatile gets the gig
The American Performer Precision Bass with rosewood fingerboard includes the Yosemite split-coil Precision Bass middle pickup and a growling Yosemite single-coil Jazz Bass bridge pickup, designed for rich, expressive tones. With flat-staggered pole pieces to increase output and a shellac coating that lets the coils breathe while controlling feedback, Yosemite pickups produce dynamic sounds ideal for any musical situation.
The American Performer Precision Bass also features Greasebucket tone circuitry that lets you shape your highs without adding bass, preserving your sound. With the Fender Performer series there has never been a better time to own a Fender Bass. This bass includes a gig bag.

Great Bass! But ask yourself - why not a MIM. The bass was an in the box sealed item - from the factory. The A string was miss-wound and slightly nicked the tuner post. Micro scratch on the rosewood fretboard (only I could find). The Input jack was very loose. All easily taken care of (but for the scratch). Have 2 fender Strats MIM. None came with any micro issues. But, I now have an American P-bass. Yeah! And MF is great!!

Having played guitar for most of my life I wanted to try the bass. This is an exceptionaly good bass guitar. It is probably better quality than I deserve but I'm so glad I went a little extra and got the American made bass. I can't find anything wrong with it. It sounds great and has a lot of versatility in the way you can mix the pickups. I am looking forward to mastering this instrument.

Can you tell me the weight of this particular instrument?
All basses vary depending on the density of the wood. Even the same model can vary up to 1.5 lbs Manufacturers usually only spec size and type of wood. Bass Guitars are generally between 8.00 and 10.00 lbs. The only way to know the weight of an individual instrument is to weigh it. This will be approximately 8.5 – 9.5 lbs.submitted4 years ago
