Fender 70th Anniversary American Vintage II 1954 Stratocaster Ash Body

Resonant Ash Body in Two-Tone Sunburst Finish

The 70th Anniversary 1954 Fender Stratocaster features a lightweight, resonant ash body finished in two-tone sunburst with nitrocellulose lacquer, just like the original model. Ash has been prized by guitar builders for decades thanks to its marvelous acoustic properties that emphasize sweet, singing midrange tones. The thin nitro finish allows the wood to breathe and vibrate freely, producing vibrant, organic Strat sound. From sparkling cleans to snarly overdrive, the ash body produces a magical sound that players have treasured for over 70 years. The nitro finish also wears in a distinctive way, letting your playing impart a personalized mojo over time.

Fender 70th Anniversary American Vintage II 1954 Stratocaster Neck

Rounded Old-School Fingerboard Offers Smooth Playability

When you pick up the 70th Anniversary American Vintage II 1954 Stratocaster, you'll immediately notice how comfortably the maple neck fits in your hand. It sports a vintage-style C-shape profile that feels retro, yet also slick and sleek. The 7.25" fingerboard radius provides a rounder feel compared to modern radii that are much flatter, making chords, lead lines and bends pleasantly smooth. Even old-school frets are installed for authentic vibrato response. Whether you're ripping surf rock rhythms or emulating Stevie Ray Vaughan's wailing solos, the ’54's neck simply begs to be played.

Fender 70th Anniversary American Vintage II 1954 Stratocaster Pickups

Authentic 1954 Single-Coil Pickups Conjure Classic Strat Tones

What would a vintage Strat be without its sonic magic? This celebratory American Vintage II comes loaded with a set of custom 70th Anniversary 1954 single-coil pickups, providing authentic bell-like tones that shimmer and shine. The bridge pickup has accentuated treble response, so your leads cut through the mix, and the middle pickup produces rounded, balanced tones perfect for rhythm work. The neck pickup delivers iconic warm, throaty tones that sing with vintage character and give the Strat its instantly recognizable voice. Just like the original 1954 pickup set, these custom-wounds capture the essence of the Stratocaster's legendary sound.

Fender 70th Anniversary American Vintage II 1954 Stratocaster Hardware

Vintage-Accurate Hardware for the ’54 Experience

Feels great in the hands and plays well. I really enjoy this one. The tweed case is pretty neat too along with the vintage case candy stuff inside.

I was sceptical based on the negative reviews but went ahead and pulled the trigger. Man I'm glad i did. The guitar is Immaculate. Lots of case candy and certificates etc. I also wasn't expecting to get 2 neck plates! It comes std with the serial number stamped like an original 54, but also comes with one displaying the 70th anniversary logo. Well done fender!

I am amazed at the features on this. A 7.25 radius fretboard, Rounded pickup covers. Three way switch. Big C neck, feels like a soft V though. This is put together as well as my Wilcutt 62 Strat and it half the price. Action is super low right out of the box. I love Fender Custom Shops. But this one had more of what the 54 Strats had in how they were built. The CS versions come with a 5 way switch and 9.5 radius fretboard. Those are good. Since my 62 had those features, I wanted something different.

I received my order in great shape and perfect condition. I changed strings only because of a preference for pure nickel bullet end Fenders. The neck needed no adjustment, frets great and the action works well for me. I'm an old guy who has been playing for over 60 years.

Well, let me tell ya, this here guitar ain't worth a lick! Supposed to be all fancy and special, but it's just a fancy piece of crap. Quality? Ha! More like rusty strings and high action like we're climbin' Mount Everest! The case ain't no better, came with scratches. The guitar had bare wood showin'. Ain't no way this is up to par with Fender's usual quality control. So, I packed it up and sent it back faster than a cat on a hot tin roof! Got me a refund quicker than a hiccup, ain't wastin' my time on this mess. Lesson learned - don't judge a guitar by its fancy name!

    1) No, it doesn't, this is spec'd to 1954. 2) Fender CASE GTR TWEED 70TH ANNIVERSARY. 3) If Fender provides one, it will be included.
