MD 24 Floyd Guitars

Dean

Description

The Dean MD 24 Roasted Maple Floyd Electric Guitar in vintage orange is designed for guitarists seeking to push their playing to the edge. At its core is a basswood body with a roasted maple neck and fingerboard, chosen for their ability to produce a balanced tone and enhanced clarity. The neck's 24 jumbo frets make complex soloing and shredding feel effortless.

Floyd Rose Tremolo Unlocks Expressive Potential

The Floyd Rose 1000 Series bridge gives players precise control over pitch for divebombs, squeals and everything in between. Not only does it provide rock-solid tuning stability, but its fine-tuners allow for micro adjustments to each string's pitch. The bridge works in tandem with the guitar's basswood body and roasted maple neck to produce a sustain that seems to last forever.

Seymour Duncan Pickups Deliver Iconic Rock Tone

At the heart of the MD 24's tone are a pair of Seymour Duncan Parchment Zebra pickups: a TB-5 in the bridge and an APH-1 in the neck. The TB5 produces a hot, crunchy tone perfect for hard rock and metal, while the APH-1 has an articulate, airy quality ideal for cleans and lighter overdrive. Together they cover the full range of rock sounds, from vintage to modern.

Roasted Maple Neck Enhances Playability and Tone

The MD 24's roasted maple neck provides a playing experience unlike any other. The roasting process chemically alters the wood to make it more stable and resistant to climate changes, resulting in a neck that remains straight and true regardless of weather. The wood's tightened cell structure also produces a tighter, brighter tone. A fingerboard radius of 12" and 24 jumbo frets make the neck a joy to play at any position.

Saw it at GC Warwick RI. The color with roasted maple neck looked great. Construction and hardware feels solid. The neck is smooth. The SD pickups and guitar tone is excellent, awesome George Lynch vibes.

My 1st Dean and I couldn't be happier. The roasted maple neck is fast and feels fantastic. The abalone fret markers really pop and compliment the blue finish. The Duncan pickups sound great. Top-notch instrument!

I tried this out at guitar center riverdale utah and holy smokes it reminded me of the Korean dean dime guitars! I own two of them so I know what I'm talking about. Tone is warm and the midrange is amazing . The floyd rose stays in tune . I did dive bombs and I had 0 problems . The only thing I noticed was the neck kind of clicked when I dived down on the bar but that's not uncommon. That happens when the nut very slightly moves and can be fixed. The action was fluid amazing. The color is neon . A very very good dean guitar .

  • Great guitar! I played one of these in a shop and loved it!

This guitar surprised me with the playability. The tone was bright and edgy in a good way for high gain. The pickups bring a lot to the table as well. There were two to choose from in the store and both were great. First off I picked up the guitar because the neck and the neck pickup....looked out of alignment...this made me take it off the rack and play it...I played it for 2 hours in store and another 2 at home....Tuning and setup stability was perfect....so I don't know what that is about....but the Guitar plays great and stays great. Don't know if they will all have this though. All in All I can say to give this guitar a try if you are looking for a Floyd Rose guitar. I'm glad I did.
