I got it mainly for practice and small gigging. I love the how neck feels and versatility of split coil. I do think hummbucker sounds better than split coil. But, it is great to have option. I have Fender and other brands. I think this neck and neck joint area feels really good even compared to much more expensive brands.

This is maybe the best variant for Les Paul, for less money. It is just couple of hours that my purchase has arrived, and I played the guitar right away. I was looking for Les Paul, and I found this guitar with the same setup. I am happy with the sound and tune. The only thing that's bothering me is that the guitar is not balanced on the shoulder when using guitar strap.

I have been using this guitar to record and it's great. I like the bright sound of the guitar. It distorts really well and it's a great vibe to play. The guitar has replaced a Les Paul that I have been using for several years. I wanted an option with new tones and this has given me exactly that. I have had no issues with the neck or quality of the guitar and think that D'Angelico has made a wonderful instrument. I am really happy with it for the value and really impressed with the manufacturing.

I am really enjoying the Brighton from D'Angelico. The guitar feels great. I played this guitar with my band for a gig recently and found myself thinking about how great it feels and sounds while I was soloing. The double cutaways make it easy to reach high notes without sacrificing comfort. At first I was worried about ordering a guitar that I couldn't play first, but it arrived in great condition and I am also very happy with the weight of this guitar, which is not too heavy and not too light. The quality of the neck and hardware is great. There is no fret buzz and the wood work is done very evenly. I am really happy with this guitar, especially for the price. I am planning to use this at upcoming shows with my band and looking forward to hitting the road with the Brighton!

Can you tell me if the condition of this guitar is pretty much mint or "scratch and blemish free"? I understand it's an "open box" sale. I plan on getting this guitar to gift to a family member .. This particular model and color "black" is what they're looking for ! Finally is shipping here to Atlanta indeed free? Thanks So Much!
