D'Angelico

Description

The D'Angelico Excel Lexington dreadnought acoustic-electric guitar delivers full, rich tone and remarkable sustain. Featuring an all-solid-wood construction with a Sitka spruce top and solid mahogany back and sides, the Lexington's non-cutaway dreadnought body shape projects with well-balanced, golden tone. A satin-finished slim C-shape neck and fast fingerboard radius make for exceptional playability.

For true-to-tone amplification, the Excel Lexington features the Fishman Sonitone preamp system, with sleek placement of a single volume and tone control inside the soundhole, allowing for excellent acoustic-electric tone while not obstructing the all-solidbody construction.

Elegant embellishments include small mother-of-pearl diamond inlays on the ebony fingerboard, as well as the new scroll-style throwback headstock shape.

The Excel Lexington comes with a gig bag.

I have been playing guitar for over 30 years and own many acoustic electric guitars including Martin Taylor Guild Yamaha Fender. I enjoy collecting a variety of different makers from different countries. This D'Angelico was a wonderful surprise! Although the company is originally from NYC this China made guitar is a pleasure to play. The craftsmanship and sound is not a US made Martin or Taylor but for the money I could not be happier.

  • I will buy it again.

I really like this guitar. Sound great, all wood construction, perfect neck profile for me, gold tuners, and high gloss body. Guitar has no pickguard so, I bought one.

  • Great guitar highly recommended

I bought this guitar as part of the summer clearance sale. I was very impressed with the craftsmanship, and features of this instrument. Grover tuners, real bone nut and saddle, fishman pickups and all solid wood construction. All seems like it belongs in a much more expensive guitar. For anyone wondering, this guitar is made by Cort-Tek, as stated in the shipping box, which is the same company that manufactures almost every instrument Anyways.
