Charvel Pro-Mod DK24 HH 2PT CM Pickup Demo

Description
The Charvel Pro Mod DK24 HH 2PT CM electric guitar is ideal for the progressive guitarist searching for an unparalleled spectrum of sound. Featuring a sculpted shredder's cut heel for effortless upper access to the fingerboard, the alder body in the classic Dinky style comes in several stage stealing finishes, including matte blue frost, burgundy mist and black.
A Caramelized Maple Neck Built for Speed
The bolt on caramelized maple Speed Neck has graphite reinforcement and a silky smooth hand rubbed urethane back finish for lightning fast playability. Its 12"–16" compound radius caramelized maple fingerboard features 24 jumbo frets, pearloid dot inlays and a Graph Tech TUSQ XL nut. A heel mount truss rod adjustment wheel provides accessible neck relief tweaks on the fly.
Pickups Brimming with Versatility
Courtesy of a mini two way toggle switch for series and parallel wiring, the DK24 HH 2PT CM offers an HH pickup configuration with a Custom Seymour Duncan Full Shred SH 10B bridge humbucker and Custom Seymour Duncan Alnico II Pro APH 1N neck humbucker. The bridge pickup radiates a crisp top end with low-end articulation, while the neck pickup has a wide range with soaring highs and buttery lows.
Premium Features and Components
Blending sophisticated style with assertive tone, the DK24 HH 2PT CM also provides premium modern features, such as a five-way blade pickup switch, Stratocaster-style skirt knobs for the volume (with a 500K EVH Bourns low-friction potentiometer) and no-load tone controls, a Gotoh Custom 510 recessed tremolo bridge, locking tuners and chrome hardware.

With the 5 way switch and the other switch that makes the dual humbuckers run parallel or in series this is a tone machine. The humbuckers are excellent Seymour Duncan pickups. What I'm happiest about, is the neck. My sweaty hands do not stick to the neck, because of the roasted maple with a satin-like finish. It is a wide/flat style neck with a flatter, compound radius. It has a nice weight, no neck dive, nicely carved body. I love this guitar, makes me want to buy more Charvel if they are all this good.
The super strat for players who don't like super strats

On paper, a pink strat style guitar with humbuckers would be the last guitar I'd want to play. However seeing this Charvel Pro-Mod Dk24 on the wall in it's sort of darker pink (burgundy mist) just caught my eye so I played it. I knew I found a real player's guitar. The color grew on me even more and the functionality was great. Humbuckers you can run as single coils with the 5 way switch is very practical. I didn't want to put it down. Super strats have always been very versatile but I've never dreamed of buying one just because I always found the styling to be extreme. However the color is kind of soothing. The neck didn't leave much of an impression but I think that there's something nice about not having to think about the neck. If it works and I don't have to think about it, so be it. Played rock through a little orange amp well yet it also sounded beautiful with a lush clean sound through a Fender Princeton. I think super strat type guitars are starting to come around to the market. Between the Silver Sky the PRS Fiore I think the more mellow color/designs with the versatility they've always had are making super strats more desirable to new guitarists. This one's a great one.
The best electric guitar that I own.

I have enjoyed playing guitar for the last 15 years. No gigging, no performances,... just the love of playing guitar. This guitar has superb fit and finish. Rolled fingerboard, extremely versatile pickups and perfect action and intonation. What a great guitar!!

I've been in a constant search for a guitar I don't have to put down all night. I've modded stock guitars, and made various parts casters. I never thought I'd find something this great in an HH configuration. The 5 way switch, along with the series/parallel selector, gives 10 pickup configurations that are all unique, as well as noiseless. The sounds easily cover heavy rock to S style ambient rock, or classic tones with ease. The tones are just part of it. The compound radius neck, 24 frets, no load tone pot, low friction volume pot, Gotoh 510 bridge, locking tuners, and maximum cutaways make this guitar an absolute joy to play! Harmonics pop on this, even in the neck position. I personally am not a fan of pointy headstocks, preferring the classic S style shape. The combination of the roasted maple fretboard against the satin burgundy mist finish gives a minimalist, clean presentation that really stands out. I can't say enough about this guitar.
Try a Charvel Pro Mod DK24 HH 2PT CM. You'll thank me.

The Charvel Pro Mod DK24 HH 2PT CM and DK22 SSS 2PT CM are my new favorite guitars. Holy cow! These things feel great and sound amazing. I know Charvel has a history of shredding, but the Pro Mod series are versatile and can be used for anything (e.g., blues, rock, jazz, pop, etc.). The pickups are top quality and the 5-way switch plus the mini-switch enable numerous useful sounds. The guitars are light (just over 7 lbs.), balanced standing and sitting, and super comfortable in every way. I can't say enough about the roasted maple necks! They feel like I'm playing on silk. The neck profile is a little thicker than I'm used to, but I really like it. I have only two suggestions for Charvel: 1) Lose the 500K EVH Bourns low-friction potentiometer. More often than not, I accidently bop it with my pinky while strumming chords or banging out funk riffs. At some point, I plan to replace the pot with a stiffer CTS pot. 2) Please add stainless steel frets! A number of guitars in this price range have them. SS frets feel great and last forever.
