Great amp head especially for the cost. Great sound and so many options you can dial in about any tone you can think of. My biggest complaint would be excess noise from channels 2 and 3 but this with a good noise gate is still less than half the price of a Mesa. The infinitum technology is awesome for those who enjoy tube experimentation but don't expect massive tonal differences when substituting tubes. Overall this thing sounds awesome and the power tube switch with 5u4 sag option is one of the coolest features I've owned on a tube amp. For a couple hundred more I might prefer a 6505+ for gain and crunch work, but the cleans in this amp are almost vintage Fender tube amp sweet. Oh and by the way, this thing ranges from perfect bedroom saturation to concert hall air movement beautifully. People tear Bugera apart online but dont knock it till you try it. Their transformers, tubes (although I did find the stock 5u4gb tubes quite warm and dynamic), and other parts are undoubtedly budget compared to amps like EVH or Mesa, but i definately wouldnt call this tone any less superior. Near perfect amp, probably perfecct for its price point. Very inspiring and extremely fun.

Hadnt given this head the chance i found it deserved. A lil ashamed to say now but i guess i was abit of a snob & simply because of things i heard & behringer being its parent co. I passed this amp up without any consideration & as i learned later it was a mistake. I purchased a more expensive head that has an AMAZING live sound but while in the studio i found it lacking & difficult to dail in a tone that suited me, meanwhile my other guitarist brought his trirec (i asked him not to & im glad he disagreed with me). My amp proved to be almost useless for me in the studio & wound up borrowing a freinds mesa dual rec to record with meanwhile mike was dialed in & had a sound that made me a little jealous & feel a bit foolish after my negative comments about his choice of heads! Anyway this amp has not only made me eat my words but has impressed me, extremely versatile in every application from studio to stage. Marked his settings on the head for live & recording & takes seconds to dial in his sound & it is a quality sound so i spent over twice what he spent & im actually going to purchase a trirec for myself & to other like myself, b4 u dismiss this amp try it out it will impress you! Some people may want to hurt me for saying this but here goes, if i were blindfolded i would not (in studio) ne able to tell u the difference between the trirec & the SLO100!! I know ,I KNOW BLASPHEMY but it sounds that good! Anyway b4 you go out & spend $1800 - $3000 on another head check this 1 out, you will not be disappointed!

No low end . Bought mine a week ago. Compared it to an old Randall RH100 g2 head i had laying around. That old beat up solid state head had more gain, low end and headroom than the Bugera . Also the varipower is a total joke. It doesnt work at all. They probably need upgraded tubes but im not going to waste the cash . Good tubes arent expensive to make and i bet their cost is low. They could have put better tubes in it. If you do buy one DONT EVER TOUCH THE VARI POWER ! Once you do its hard to get it back to normal volume. For me now the high normal volume is at 11 o clock.

This amp is very versatile! Any style of music. I was looking for that Metallica " Black ALbum " sound. It took some time but i Finally arrived. I actually sold my Peavey 6505+ head. when folks say it is the industry standard for metal they should be a little more specific. if you detune and play newer metal core it is perfect. However I view metal as Metallica, Pantera, Slayer, Ect?..(and that is just My opinion i don't intend to offend anyone) The TRIREC is great in almost any setting. Im running the TriRec through a Mesa 4x12 slant cab loaded with vintage 30's. I run an Ibanez Tubescreamer (vintage reissue) into a Fulltone OCD overdrive into a Keeley 4 knob compressor dirrectly into the the amps input. in the effects loop i run a BBE sonic maximizer 482i. into a Lexicon MX200. I highly recommend some form of a noise gate. I had some reservations in ordering this amp, for the price i could have easily bought a used Dual Rectifier. however, let me clear that up for you.The amp is great, you can dial in tone with ease, and all of the features it is loaded with?.each channel has a master volume,it has reverb,boost, Variac ( you can go from 5 watts to 100 watts with out loosing the power tube saturation.)and it sounds great at low volumes so if your a basement or bedroom player its all good. The design was, well, someone was thinking. the only thing i would change (witch i may have mod-ed later) is that the selection between silicone diodes and tubes is for all 3 channels, i wish it was independent for each channel. oh the foot switches are a little noisy. you hear a click when switching channels. however it has a Midi path in it so you can upgrade to a midi foot control. i do however like the fact that the foot switch is 6 button, all 3 channels, Reverb, boost, and FX loop. allin all i would recommend this amp and the 333xl to anyone who is in the market for a new one.

I purchased this amp recently to replace a combo I had been lugging around. The amp is built well and has great astetics for metal as well as the tone to match it. The amp however is very noisey in modern mode on channels two and three. I would have like to have channels two and three with a little different tonal features, however they are exactly the same, no big deal really. The clean, I think, is better than alot of the reviews put on. Way better than my Marshall was. The EQs (high,mid,bass,presence,gain) are very usable, meaning when you turn them they actually do something and the knobs are firm with no play. They dont seam cheap. The boost is awesome, gives a good increase in volume and push,great for solos. The reverb is ok, gotta turn it up to around 7 to notice it, then it gets decent. The power scale is awesome! Ive been looking for an amp with this and its gonna be a great tool since I jam in a small bed room more often than not. The ability to switch tubes? I'm not sure about this one yet. Ive got acouple of new el34s layed away somewhere. I think I'll give them a try and see what happens. The rectifier swith is cool and gives you some tone options, however Ive found silicon diode to be my fav. The effects loop seams to add some compression, not sure I like it yet, but Im still working on mating up my stomp boxes. The footswitch, its good to go! Its one of the main reasons I bought the amp. I can assign the effects loop and reverb to come on and off with fifferent channels. It isn't noisy and it doesnt take alot of pressure to switch stuff, as others have reported. Maybe I just got a good one. Over all I am happy with the product. I just hope it holds up! Made in China, but whats not these days!

I've been waiting for this amp for over a year. tone wise, i love it. this thing is amazing and no, i would not consider it mesa knock off. the other guitar player in my band uses a mesa boogie dual rectifier tremoverb. our amps complement each other perfectly and the features that the trirec has puts it in a class of it's own. It delivers everything i could ask for and then some in it's tone pallet. however, channels 2 and 3 are quite noisy so plan on using a gate at all times. it also makes some noise when switching channels if they are set different. i use vintage on channel 2 and modern on channel 3 and there is a noticieable click when i switch between the two. the foot pedal selectors are pretty stiff to.i really have to stomp on them to get the channel to switch. that will probably loosen up over time but is incosequntial as i plan on using a FCB1010, and tc gmajor in the future. thats why 4 stars. all and all this is the best head i've ever bought and well worth the 800 bucks i shelled out for it.
