I have really enjoyed the book, and wish my previous guitar teachers had suggested it years ago. It is allowing me to make better connections with my notes and their phrasing. A great addition to my Music Library.

  • Great information to have in my music book collection.

Fretboard Logic SE is deceptive. At first read, the intermediate to advanced player may yawn and sort of dismiss it as just so much technobabble. Beginners may feel overwhelmed. Upon repeat visits, however, the real value of this tome begins to reveal itself. Bill Edwards has done a fine job of presenting a LOT of information within a relatively few amount of pages. And the really neat trick is that the material "grows" with you. As you delve further into scales and theory, the diagrams help reinforce concepts and patterns which may initially elude you. I've had the book for years but I'll still crack it open and discover a wealth of useful charts and reminders. It's a great supplement to other learning materials, too, in that it doesn't advocate some off-the-wall "this is my own special method" way of learning to play. A very solid reference book for beginners to advanced players alike. No matter what stage of development you've reached, you're bound to find something useful. . .maybe even logical.
