Sound quality really lacks in these headphones!

Fairly comfortable, and it does cut out a lot of outside noise, but the sound quality is terrible. The sound quality is very muted. I expected much better clarity at this price point. My five year old Bose wired headphones are 100% better! I will be returning then to find a better sound quality headphones.
Good for home studios

Great sound and frequency range. It's advertised as "secure fit" so don't expect extreme contort, but with that said, I use them for hours without ANY discomfort! More like a snug fit. I think it's misleading to say these are for drummers, since I record electric guitar at home where isolation is a must when recording in a small room to backing tracks to avoid bleeding, especially with condensers. Db reduction amount is prefect. Highly recommended.
Great fidelity, great comfort

Bought these to use when playing drums but now use them for everything. Owned a pair of DT 770 first generation and loved their comfort and sound. I now take the new 770 M's with me to all sessions and use them as a cross reference for mixes. I have read other reviews panning them for comfort but am skeptical if those people ever used "drummer headphones" before as these are the most comfortable I have ever used and provide great isolation as well. I also consider their frequency response to be even and natural sounding. I love these headphones.
Nice everything

Owned an old set of the excellent, original DT 770s but was looking for a comfortable set of drummer's phones when these came along. I say comfortable but have read reviews of people complaining that phones are too tight. These block out a lot of outside sound and are somewhat tight on purpose but the soft earpieces make them very tolerable in my book. Great fully range frequency response. Love the volume control. Used them on a session today and they worked great. Recommended.
