Description
The Behringer SF300 Super Fuzz effects pedal puts three iconic fuzz tones at your feet. This stompbox channels the raw power of vintage fuzz pedals along with modern distortion textures. With dedicated controls and intuitive operation, the SF300 makes it easy to summon everything from snarling proto-punk to heavy industrial cacophony.
Shape Your Sound With Three Distinct Modes
The SF300 gives you three modes to craft your ideal fuzzed-out sound. The Classic Fuzz setting conjures up the grimy, fuzzed-out tones of the '60s and '70s. This mode oozes with the wooly, buzzing character heard on countless garage rock and psych records. The Grunge setting dials in a heavy, saturated distortion that's ideal for grunge, metal and industrial styles. This mode has an aggressive midrange bite that cuts through the mix. And the Gain Boost function is all about pure volume, pushing your amp into oblivion for searing leads and solos.
Tweak Your Tone With Dedicated Controls
Shaping your distortion is easy with the SF300's intuitive control set. The Gain knob adjusts the amount of fuzz, while the Level sets the overall output volume. The active 2-band EQ lets you dial in more Treble for bite or boost the Bass for a thick, booming fuzz. You can fine-tune the EQ to sit perfectly in the mix. The top-mounted LED indicates when the pedal is engaged so you always know your fuzz is active and ready to roar.

Great for my needs
Got back into playing a couple years back, but only recently bought an electric again. Wanted to play around with some chunky riffs and needed a fuzz pedal. But I also wanted to keep things as low on the cost spectrum as I could, since I'm really only playing for myself. This fits the bill on both accounts. The options are pretty wide-open, with control over lows/mids and highs, as well as level and gain. You need to play around a good bit to find the best settings for your style, but they're in there. The plastic casing feels more than strong enough for casual home use. The metal base gives it a good weight so it'll stay in place. If you're going to go that route, getting into the battery compartment under the switch, and closing it back up, is kind of a pain. That's why I use a 9v adapter and daisy chain.

Didn't last long
Used this pedal 3 times and was relatively happy with it, for the money anyway. The fourth time I plugged it in I got a loud hum when I tried to use it in bypass. I changed it out with a DS1 and the hum went away, so it wasn't my other equipment. Changed back and the hum returned (sounds like an 'electrical short' hum).

This may be made of plastic, but don't let that fool you. I am pretty new to pedals, but in general, this pedal has some of the heaviest, raunchiest tones i've ever heard, even better (in my opinion) than your bigmuffs and rats of the world. Absolutely wonderful pedal.

This thing is grimey. Sound is chunky. Great fuzz and boost for the price.

This pedal produces great fuzz tones. The tones truly sound like a fuzz pedal instead of a dorky distortion pedal.
Makes it fuzzy

I love this pedal adds low-end saturation and brutality to my sound. If you tune down this is the one to get IMO.

The boost was a nice surprise...but I got this for the sounds of armageddon that come out of the Fuzz 1 and 2 settings.
