Great alternative

We have the full 16 channel Aviom system running through our Yamaha LS9 digital mixing board. We couldn't afford another Aviom mixer at the time so we bought the MA400 as a temporary solution for our auxiliary percussionist. You can't get to excited about old technology but we are pleased with the results and our percussionist is happy and thats what counts. The mic loop-thru feature is nice.

Not suited for drummers...

We picked this up for our drummer to use so he can route our backing tracks to FOH at shows and have a click track for himself. The amp itself is well made with a steel casing and very small, which was awesome for portability. The separate inputs with separate volume controls is great and is exactly what we needed. The only downside is that the amplifier is not very strong. The click track we have in or backing track is nearly unheard when he is playing at full volume. A stand alone metronome is much more able to be heard through microphones. The amp itself is a great little piece of equipment, just not for the use we were wanting to utilize it for.

Been using these with high school students on a church stage for a few weeks now. They work great. It's convenient that they have both 1/4" TRS and 3.5mm outputs. Very lightweight. Probably going to Velcro them down. Also, there seems to be 2 colors, light gray like the picture and dark gray like I got in the order. Both colors look great and are neutral enough for stage use.

I'm using this between a non-amplified tv audio out and Bose headphones. Makes an excellent volume amp. Has 1/4" input (I'm using a 3.5 to 1/4 adapter) and both 1/4" and 3.5mm out jacks. Needs an AC source for included plug but that is no prob.

I use this as my IEM amp. Great option especially with a digital board where you can adjust levels for your specific bus on your phone or ipad.
