Description
The MS-1 is an inspiring monophonic synthesizer that packs the pure analog sound engine of iconic vintage synths into a fun, affordable keyboard. With its 32 semi-weighted full-size keys, authentic 3340 oscillator and extremely flexible VCF and VCA filters, the MS-1 makes it easy to lay down insanely fat bass, leads, effects and more. Whether you're on stage or in the studio, the MS-1 synthesizer will become your favorite keyboard for crafting the sounds you've always imagined.
Authentic Analog Sound Engine
Great care has been taken in engineering the MS-1, including analog circuitry that's true to the original, legendary VCO, VCF and VCA designs. This highly-focused attention to detail gives the MS-1 its flexible sound shaping capability, which covers everything from super-fat bass and lead tones to stunning effects and otherworldly sounds. The MS-1's authentic 3340 Voltage Controlled Oscillator (VCO) provides an incredible range of four simultaneously-mixable waveforms for sculpting the perfect sound. Shape your tone with saw, triangle, square/PWM and octave-divided square sub-oscillator waveforms, while adjusting pitch across a wide, four-octave range.
Highly Flexible Voltage Controlled Filter
The very heart of the MS-1's sound is its highly-flexible Voltage Control Filter (VCF), which lets you dial in the perfect tone. Control cutoff frequency (10Hz–20kHz), resonance (0 to self-oscillation), envelope and modulation depth and keyboard follow (0 to 100%). The VCF can be modulated via the ADSR, keyboard tracking and Bender controller. Adjust the FM Amount knob to set modulation depth and choose from six FM sources like pulse, sawtooth and sub-oscillator to open up unheard of filter effects.
Perform and Compose
The MS-1's step sequencer allows you to program up to 32 steps of notes and rests and save them in up to 64 patterns across eight banks. Create and store sequences in Keyboard mode or interactively compose patterns in Step mode. The onboard arpeggiator features eight patterns that you can use by playing a chord, which the arpeggiator then sequences through your selected pattern. Both the sequencer and arpeggiator make performing and composing fun and mesmerizing.
Take Center Stage
When you're ready to steal the spotlight, the MS-1 is the ultimate performance companion. Its 32 semi-weighted full-size keys allow for great playability while the pure analog signal path empowers you to recreate the classic sound performance that defined a generation. Additionally, just attach the included guitar strap and handgrip (with pitch bend wheel and a pitch modulation trigger), and take your performance to the next level. The MS-1 synthesizer makes it easy to conjure up virtually any sound with incredible finesse and ease. Whether you're on stage or in the studio, the MS-1 will become your favorite keyboard for crafting the sounds you've always imagined.

Sounds great, but glide is too slow.

It sounds great and has a great interface, but the glide doesn't work right. I don't know if Behringer will be able to fix this with a firmware update or if it's a hardware problem. The latest firmware also messed up the clock division function, but they will probably resolve that eventually.

This synth sounds great!
Great!, but it's Keytar with a one foot adaptor leash.

this is a fantastic synth, but the keytar part is useless without a battery compartment , and only a 1 foot adaptor. maybe a longer usb for power? still , they should make a battery pack so it can actually be used on stage. Also, the filter is kinda of weak. they could have added a ladder filter. everything else is stellar. love it.

Reincarnation of SH-101 with steroids. Fat sounds. Excellent filter. The FM modulation gives an extra punch to the sound. Highly recommended.

I bought my Behringer MS product number is 101GCW2499814852. I bought it out of impulse this morning!! and came back to see that the price had dropped, i was hopping on maybe getting that discount or just return the item and re- buy it.
