An included software package provides everything you need to edit, mix and master professional recordings.

Record Broadcast-Quality Audio

The C-1U USB condenser microphone makes home recording easier than ever thanks to its built-in USB interface. Simply plug the mic directly into your computer's USB port and you're ready to record studio-quality vocals, acoustic guitars, podcasts and more. No extra equipment like preamps or analog-to-digital converters required. With the C-1U's hassle-free setup, you can start recording broadcast-quality audio within minutes.

Hear Intricate Detail

The C-1U condenser microphone provides a wide, flat frequency response from 40Hz–20kHz, capturing intricate detail across the entire audible range. Every nuance of your vocals or acoustic instrument comes through with pristine clarity and realism. From the lowest bass notes to the highest harmonics, the C-1U accurately reproduces the full spectrum of sound.

Focus on Sound In Front

The C-1U cardioid pickup pattern focuses on sound coming directly in front of the mic capsule while rejecting sound from the sides and rear. This makes the C-1U ideal for podcasts, vocals, voiceovers and acoustic instruments. Only the desired audio is captured while ambient noise and potential feedback are minimized. The narrow cardioid pickup results in excellent off-axis sound rejection, giving you greater control over your final recording.

Get Low-Noise Performance

With an ultralow noise transformerless FET input, the C-1U provides pristine audio reproduction free of distracting hiss or hum. Even when recording at extreme dynamics up to 136dB SPL, the C-1U maintains a high signal-to-noise ratio for crystal clear recordings. From subtle fingerpicking to a full band, the C-1U's electronics can handle it with impressive headroom. The low self-noise electronics ensure your podcasts, vocals, voiceovers and acoustic instruments come across with exceptional clarity and transparency.

This microphone works well recording instruments, reproduces loud/close sounds very well. The output level is very low for spoken voice, so after cranking up all the input levels you can find in your OS's software, you may still want to do post-processing to increase the amplitude and remove the resulting noise. I don't recommend this microphone for recording voiceovers, podcasts or for live speaking.
