Totally Amazing
I've had my JS10 Audio Player for a couple of weeks now and Im very impressed how well it sounds and all the functions packed into this little machine. Roland did a great job with the design. I use it for practice and playing late nights. I don't bother any one at all. This recorder has many effects; amps and sound tracks to play around with. It's capable of down loadind mp3 from the internet or just hooking a mp3 player and jamming with your own stuff. My JS 10 is hooked up to a set of small BOSE stero speakers and it's really mind blowing. At night I just plug in my head set. I traded in my GT100 for this smaller version because I really lack the room where I'm at now. Also had to downsize my Guitar Amp from a 100 watt to a Champion 40 watt amp. The combination is a great match. I would recomend this JS 10 to any musician who needs to play; practice and record any time you feel like picking up your guitar. The pre-loaded loops will keep you busy for quite a while. You can also peek and tweek any of the built in amps and effects to meet your own tastes. JJr. O.C. Ca.

Disappointing for a Bass Player
As a bass player I find the JS-10 to be disappointing. I own a JS-5 and was looking forward to upgrading. The upright design and built-in speakers are nice and the sound tracks are a great upgrade. It is a good device for guitar players, but it lacks some key features of the 5. Namely you do not have to ability to selectively remove instrument parts for each track. I can't take out the bass, so it does very little for me. I can practice solos, but it does very little when practicing exercises and rhythms. In short this is a karaoke machine for guitar soloing. Not much else. Hopefully Roland will release some bass-friendly versions of the built-in loops.

Great practice tool and a decent audio interface for tracking song ideas or recording arrangements. Latency isn't the best but it's workable and records well. The built in jam tracks have a good range of genre's to practice different styles. Really useful.

I have imported my own songs with mp3 format that I will be using for performances and jamming. I like the options of being portable. At home in the living room or upstairs in my studio just 1 piece of gear. Small venue, the JS-10, 1 guitar and 1 amp, large venue, JS-10, 1 or 2 guitars, and sound system, (no amp, no computer). I like that it can retain the guitar settings for each song.

As a former professional guitarist many years ago I decided in my senior years to play again. The JS-10 is a quality compact machine with excellent sound quality and the ability to do almost anything you desire is awesome. I know practicing as a former teacher is at times very challenging. The js-10 makes practicing fun, very helpful, musically, the only errors made is the person playing or singing along, course a guitar or vocal player and singer. It fills a room with sound that encourages playing either your favorite tunes, or, to add whatever you desire on mp3s, and.or usb. I havn't gotten that far working out the rust from many years not playing. This is also a great teaching tool as well as it is used by the top professionals before gigs, or concerts, etc.Guitar center is the only place I buy whatever I desire, complimented going to the guitar center near my home. It i by far the best investment I made musically. I bought A new american standard strat, the js-10, and other such items needed and desired. Easy to purchase online, if you're not computer comfortable as many seniors are you can simply call them up and order anything you desire by phone as well, although I myself have to say it is quite easy to purchase online. Don't waste your time, get it, you will love it. Don't trust my review, review hundreds on any site you desire. After you purchase it you will play for hours and get lost enjoying and learning. You xan also add powered speakers if you are using or desire more power, which, in my opinion isn't necessary, however, if I find that I can do gigs locally after a few months brushing up, I will re post, some say you can, others claim it's difficult. It seems quite easy to me, but regardless it is simply an amazing product. If you study and practice every day you will be richly rewarded whether you just started playing or an advanced player, either way it will improve your play and take you to another level..
