Description

The BOSS RC-3 Loop Station adds a powerful new single-pedal looper to the company's industry-leading lineup of pedal-based loop recorders, featuring high-powered digital signal processing, stereo operation, and cutting-edge features. Powered by the ESC2 DSP chip, the RC-3 Loop Station offers musicians powerful, great-sounding recording and manipulation of loops live and in the studio.

Housed in BOSS' popular single-pedal chassis, the RC-3's new features include true stereo ins/outs and up to three hours of onboard stereo recording and loop storage. 99 onboard memory slots are available for storing your creations. The RC-30 also boasts a USB 2.0 port for swapping and managing WAV loops with your computer. An aux in jack for portable devices and a key selection of onboard rhythms including real audio drum loops come standard. Connect an optional BOSS FS-5U Foot Switch for additional foot control if desired!

I LOVE IT!!!!!!

I started playing the guitar when I was a teenager...I played a few years, but never had any lessons or played with any others..I didn't understand the fret board or any theory. I didn't start trying to play until about 3 years ago, but was not progressing like I wanted to. I received the RC-3 a few days ago and also took my 1st lesson yesterday and was instructed about the notes on the fret board and how to find chords...It was eye opening to say the least...well this morning I plugged the RC-3 in and went to the pre-recorded tracks, I think they go from 91 thru 99, and started jamming for the 1st time in my life!!...It's going on 4pm now and I've been jamming all day and having a blast. For the 1st time in my life I feel a whole new guitar world is opening up to me....This RC-3 has made all the difference in the world...By the way I'm 73 years old, and just getting started..lol I highly recommend the RC-3 for everyone.

should've bought the DD20 FIRST

This is a GREAT PEDAL. I generally have ALWAYS trusted BOSS/ROLAND, so when I started seeing looping in real time effects I was paying close attention to the RC-3 and e RC -30. I was testing them both out and figured that a difference in $100 wasn't worth it, and from what I've heard GC Associates, I'm glad I didn't get the 30. it does everything I need it to do ... at least now it does since I was introduced to the BOSS DD20 Giggadelay. The construction is basic rugged BOSS. I do get some noise, but that's gonna depend on A LOT of stuff (notice the vids - there's a BOSS noise suppressor placed pre RC-3. lol). I LOVE the BOSS double pedal designs, but it wasn't in the cards for the RC-30, even after a week of getting the thing off e ground and recording some amazing haunting stuff, I did what lots of loopers out there do ... "If I only had another one, I could ...So two weeks after the RC-3 Looper, I got myself the best delay that BOSS makes, THE DD-20 GIGGADELAY. I usually keep the RC-3 at the end and the DD20 somewhere very close to the end. Now, If I just had ANOTHER DD-20. Ha! So many pedals, so little time so little time so little time so little ti

    It was just what I expected and more. I will get so much use out of this pedal while I work on my solos. I'm still learning about how to operate it but the instructions are plenty and easy to understand. This pedal is more on the professional side than what I plan to ever use it for, but that's ok.

    It functions well, but as Boss/Roland told me in an email "it's over 10 years old" so don't expect anything cutting edge or for us to make any changes to it. Like I said it functions well, but it's overpriced and has some issues. The tempo options are limited and getting the volume low enough on the rhythm is a challenge. I just use the kick drum and it's often too loud. As I lower the volume it just turns off around 8 o'clock.

    I use it to play my originals and add a lead line to it....I had one in the past but it was dunked in salt water thanks to Hurricane Harvey....my wife just bought me one this week....I love it!

    I have now made a few custom tracks with which I play over and experiment with building tracks, and have found by attaching my MP3 player I can transfer tracks of music and modify, or just play over as a jam track.

    I wish I had bought one of these years ago. I used to record sections and then dub back over. This is way faster. I bought the fs-6 as well to go with it. Super useful and easy to use. I am not a tech person and play a pretty stripped down rig. This is really easy to use and easy to figure out. You will need to buy a trs cable if you buy the footswitch as well. Boss pedal so it's built like a tank.

    Got this pedal because I wanted to play some heavy riffs and then overdub with some solos. Although the clean tracks I make with it sound good, the distortion ones don't. Whenever I record a riff on distortion and then solo over it it sounds really muddy and mixed up. How do I fix this. By the way my set up is just my strat>loop pedal>and my acoustic brand amp. I use the natural amp gain for the distortion.
