This thing is PHAT!!!!!!
I was recently in GC and played with one of these thinking that the sales person was trying to sell me more than I needed. I wanted to build my own pedal board. After playing with it for 45 minutes I was sold. It had everything I needed and it was easy to use. You don't have to scroll for your sound like you do with some other multi-effect pedals. And by the time you do the math, you get Boss sounds combined in this thing for under $300. by the time you buy 4 single pedals you have already exceeded that. It's a great buy not because of the price but because of the sound. I will be purchasing one REAL soon.

Lots of Options - Maybe Too Many
This pedal gives you tons of options as to how you want your instrument to sound, but almost in excess. Some of the distortions are so muddy that tuhey're virtually not usable. There are some cool effects you can use though, such as the flanger and the note hold, but in the end it just turned into a volume pedal for me.

No Power Cord. Short Battery Life. At this price range it should come with a power cord.
Solid unit, well built, lots of options

Great product. Had it for a year and it's my go-to at rehearsals and gigs. Mainly use the compressor, eq, distortion, and volume pedal. But some of the other effects come in handy too. Saving patches is a bit clunky but not terrible. I only wish it had a looper and beats library included, I would use it a lot more for solo practice time if it did. Looking into the Zoom b3n for those features. Not bothered by the lack of power adapter included. Pretty standard for these types of products.

I have a stereo rig, and this preamp is the heart. Even tho I dont use a lot of effects, But they are available and totally tweakable. Depending on what your bass is- this unit is very quiet also, which is important when i record with it. Good bang for the buck and totally versatile!
Great Pedal w/ Cheap Effects? WORTH READING.

The pedal itself works exactly the way it is suppose to. I don't think anybody has ever had any problems with it simply not working or something going wrong with the pedal or effects. That's a huge bonus for many of us who don't have the money to repair it. Most of us enjoy all the effects that you can choose from. It's really insane how many different options are available to really get a sound that YOU want from this pedal. However. The effects can sound somewhat cheap. I have yet to try a distortion or fuzz pedal that sounds good to me for bass. The wah is also not the best that I have heard. Reverb is minimal but the chorus is FANTASTIC as always by boss. Delay is another thing that boss is on top of their game for as well. Some of the effects sound cheap, and some of them really excel. There isn't a "happy middle" with any of these effects, so definitely don't buy it if you're looking to just use a whole lot of distortion. Buy it if you're into chorus, delay, minimal reverb or the compression abilities. The octaver is probably the worst sounding effect.

Can I use it like pitch fork and play in lower key but still stay in standard tuning?
There is no harmony effect with this effects pedal. You would need something other than this.
