Great amp, especially for the price!
I am an amateur musician who plays with a band. I wanted one amp that would be powerful enough to gig, have great sound and a lot of flexibility, but easy to use and wouldn't break the bank. This amp meets all of those needs beautifully. As a modeling amp it emulates various effects and classic amps, but is much easier to use than the old Vox AD-30VT that I replaced with it. It has plenty of power for my needs, and I probably could have gotten away with the 1x12" speaker version but I wanted to make sure there would be enough power for any gig in a small to medium size venue - from a house to a medium size bar. And it certainly fits that bill. That said, it is a heavy box to lug around, and there are a couple of improvements I would recommend. First - equalize the volume when switching modes (acoustic, clean, brown, etc.) and second - add a label to show what the various factory setting effects are when you cycle through the options on each of the five effects control sets. But these are minor complaints. The main purpose of an amp is to crank out power with good sound, and this amp does that, whether you want clean sound or whatever, it has it all. I added the optional GF-FA pedal which lets my switch between 4 or 8 patches, plus the current panel settings, at the stomp of a foot. This gives me most of the power of a pedalboard without buying all those expensive pedals. So altogether, 5 stars!

Tone studio is a flop.
Amp sound quality and controls are great. Tone studio is just ridiculous. I'm in my 20s and have no problems with computer programs. Over complicated and full of bugs.'

I play Pedal Steel Guitar , i.have used most top amplifiers for steel . With this amp i dont have to carry effect devices like the others . At a recent steel jam i was told by a professional musician that my Katana mkll 100 , 212 amp filled the huge venue with sound and made my Steel sound the way a Steel Guitar was supposed to sound . I am very happy with it .
Great amp for practice and even gigs

I've owned and own a number of tube amps. I've also tried EVERY solid state. Some do some things well while not so good in other areas. Most do cleans well but they struggle on good distortion tones. Either too fizzy or flabby. This does it all. Imo it doesn't replace tube amps, but comes closer than anything else. A GREAT practice amp. Once again for the money nothing touches it. (including Peavey,Catalyst, Blackstar and the rest including Fender). When I read the review on how the tone isn't good, I'll put money it was due to not spending time with it and understanding how to dial it in. It's not complicated but you have to spend some time with it. It's not a tube amp and you can't dial it in like a tube amp. Tone Studio isn't hard to understand and really brings it to life. There is a reason its the number one seller for solid state amps and owned by both beginners and Professional Musicians.

I got this amp for Christmas and it took a couple of weeks to learn. The amp sounds amazing and it is so versatile. After connecting my computer to it, I had access to almost all digital boss petals. I am very satisfied with this amp and I use it every day. Although, it was a pain to connect the computer to the amp.
