    Keyboard player uses this basic on/off switch to control drum machine for live performance. No track changes, etc., just on/off-exactly what we wanted. Neither Boss nor Alesis support provided clear info on compatible switches. Thank you, Guitar Center, for finding the correct product!

    Will this foot switch advance from one stored loop memory to another? Memory 1, memory 2, etc?

    Boss 5U foot switch does it need battery and if so how to change it

    No battery needed. It runs like an amplifier footswitch where the keyboard powers it.
