Avalon is the TOP OF THE LINE as far as I am concerned. I have pairs of 737's and this is just a dream to have this as a bonus for the studio. If you are looking for a pre amp, look no more this is what you want. It will last forever and AVALON backs their products all the way!

Ive used this and other Avalon pres with a recording teacher of mine for an album of his he was recording. Comparing it to other pres we used, such as API and the like, these were awesome. More color in comparison to some other pres, like the API's that were previously mentioned (the 512), and definitely a smooth sound. It is nice that there are two pres built into this once machine, because it takes up a little less rack space. This recording was by far the best recording I had done, and I would say that these pres were the reason why. Good players, mics, pres, and converters and can't go wrong unless there is a poor engineer :P
